with fuel prices so variable what's your fuel consumption figures? after a steady fish drive home with mine yesterday and a long run it suggests I should get just under 400 from a full tank! I don't see that being the case though! I am guessing someone will come along shortly and say that what you're getting aint too bad.

I’ve had mine since April 2017; a full tank gives me about 300 miles on a mixture of short commuting trips during the week and thrash down the A3 and M27 most weekends. Average about 24.5 mpg.

ive got a 280 and get about the same. once she gets to half a tank it tends to go down a lot quicker. I work week on week off and drive more sensibly when at work....or try to at least. The most ive had is 380 to a tank. that was pre stage 1 tho.

Have they engineered out the axle tramp on the my19 Cupra?

No - but it rarely happens unless you literally plant your right foot in 2nd. Mostly momentary wheelspin and then endless grip, the car is bloody impressive. I imagine better tyres will limit it even further.. My biggest gripe with the car is interior rattles and absolutely no exhaust noise in the cabin. The fabled DSG farts are none present even when pushing hard but I prefer that.

On the MY19 Cupra???

Is yours a 5dr?

Thats a shame.
Especially when the original 290 apparently sounded like this..

The DSG 'farts' seem to be disappearing across the VAG range. It's the same for the 7.5 Golf GTI.

Yeah me too! I understand that the 0-60 times on both the 290 and the 300 4drive have increased slightly since the emissions change, but I don't know what the new numbers are.
Apparently the MY19 5dr 0-62 is now 6 secs.

Don't know if the ST 4drive has changed.

Sad times.

One of the main characteristics I liked about the CUPRA DSG. I actually prefer it to the overrun crackles.

If they compensated with a deeper more warbly tone like on the S3 it wouldn't be so bad.

Yeah a 5dr pre copper 290 - I was hoping it'd sound like that too! Inside the cabin we cannot hear any exhaust noise unless I drop the windows but then the wind noise is usually too loud to hear it anyway lol. I have heard it pop and bang with the windows down but its faint. The engine does make a good sound though with the actuator off and the induction noise is addictive.

That video is much much louder than mine lol

Not bad at all, I'm being picking because its brand new. The digital dash seems to rattle a little bit and I've seen someone else either here or on Facebook with the same problem and they wedged a bit of card down the side lol. The passenger far left air vent also rattles a bit, especially in Cupra mode..

5 door mystery blue.

Mine sounds nothing like that might get a little thud noise rather than the fart on gear change. I’m coming up to 300 miles have noticed the exhaust is getting louder. I find in Cupra mode you can’t hear anything apart from the fake engine noise, even in sport the fake noise is far too much for me.

Going to unplug the Sound actuator over the weekend it’s located top left under the bonnet. you can see the speaker under the plastic mesh/leaf guard it has a no jet wash symbol on the mesh.

I know it's been mentioned before but the OBD11 is a wicked little device and will sort the actuator without the need to disconnect amongst other things.

Turning it down some may give a better overall effect than turning it off.

Invested for my 280 and it's been well worth it. It's not expensive either - just need an Android device to communicate with it.
