MIB2 <> Display screen wiring - need help

I am trying to connect my 8 inch display with MIB2 unit. However, I do not understand where the two cables for power goes into MIB2.

In the below diagram, there is the connector A from the back of the screen. There are two wires from that connector which are pin 1 and pin 7. In the picture it simply says 5 and 12 and does not say where these wires connect to.

In the chinese wiring harness, these two connects directly to the power connector of MIB2 unit, that is pin 17 and 18 of J794. Which to me seems like hack.

I would appreciate if someone could tell me where these wires connect to originally.

Are you upgrading the 6.5 inch screen?
If so it should just be a straight swap.

no, its 5 inch screen to 8 inch.
currently I have joined these two cables to the power pins of the quadblock at the back of the MIB2 unit. and its working fine.
I was just thinking that in original wiring it should be connected directly to the gray connector along with other cables from the t12f connector.
