You should check the garage as alot of them actually have a proper red and white no entry sign displayed which is part of the highway code. If she has contravened that it may help sway the decision in your favour. Also cctv from the garage may assist as the exits will be covered by cameras in the event of a bilkingNot today but last night, some stupid woman came into the petrol station through the exit as I was reversing out of a parking space and proceeded to drive straight behind me leaving me no option but to hit her!!! I was looking the other way as thats where the traffic usually comes from. Not much damage apart from a scuffed rear bumper.
Insurance company said it will more than likely go 50/50 as technically its not in the highway code to enter a petrol station the wrong way! She did accept blame on the spot though.
