What did you and your MK2 do today?

Screw out. Same problem with the fronts and rear. So annoying after taking everything apart. I hit them pretty hard and even hit them with heat and just couldn't budge them, so they must have rusted on real good.
Ended up just changing the rear pads as they were down to about 2mm!

Any tips?

No idea ,mine fell off once the retaining screw was out .

Hit them harder I guess

Mine were really stuck on when I changed mine.

Took me a while but eventually they came off. I had to wedge a screwdriver in between the disc and hub which worked a treat.

I've finally fitted microphone to my "aftermarket" Android head unit.
It took me almost 2 hours to put the wire from the back mirror to the radio (through the A pillar of course).

Unfortunately I wasn't able to use the factory microphone as I did with GPS and radio antennas. :(

Sounds like a decent idea. I'll have another go before long and might be a bit more aggressive this time. I hit them pretty hard though all over the disk and got no movement at all- any harder and i would have probably damaged the discs, not shfted them, and then not be able to put the brakes back together!

Keep debating whether to put the FR back to standard and sell everything on. Have a desire for a new car....

I'd fed up of mine. Got it booked into the garage this Friday, next Friday and Saturday... think I'm wasting money I could be putting towards a Focus ST.

Mine isnt causing any issues (touch wood) just have a desire for a new motor as I've had this nearly 4 years now.

Cant decide on what to get next though.......either a big comfy estate/saloon or a sporty 5 door hatch (S3, Golf R etc)

Today spent ages trying to adjust my headlights as my new Osram nightbreaker laser bulbs are dazzling oncoming drivers. Should have only taken a couple of minutes but a previous owner had broken the adjusters.
Also got round to fitting Team Heko wind deflectors , not decided if I like them or not yet.

Was hard but recently got rid of my Leon, was stuck in the garage not being used. It's been brilliant for the last 5 years.

Sadly....we are saying good-bye to our Cupra R

It's a 2003 model with just 32k on clock and can you believe that dealer is only going to go us p/ex of £800!!!
Sarah has love it and cared for it for nearly 14 years but we need a bigger car for three growing girls.

It's a sad sad day and tomorrow, when we do the deed, we will be grieving!!!!

Please send your commisserations - tears will form everytime I see another on the roads!!!

I'm sure you've and read this before but get some 340mm TTs disc there lighter and don't leave that unsightly lip as they wear

Sorry for being a bit off topic but will the TTs discs for the S3 calipers?

I've mounted winter wheels/tires and "R" brake calipers badge. :)

If you mean 'fit' the S3 callipers yes , those calipers are fitted to few models in the vag stable.

Iv got them on my LCR it just means you don't get that god awful lip on the discs, and its less unsprung weight
