Last question on this as I don't want to hijack the thread but iron out?? Read up and seen what it does, why would I not just use this?? Please bear in mind my car cleaning stretches to a full compliment of autoglym

Yeah but you'll be better getting a litre concentrate and mixing it to 5 litres. Should be about £12 I think!

I'm build week 42. The lease company are saying the start of November. When I call Seat they say the car will start being built on the 17th October, this takes two weeks. Then it takes between 4-6 weeks to be delivered to the dealer. So its looking nearer December to me.

Have you had any information?

Mine was bw38 so 4 weeks ahead of you. Expected next week so would guess yours would be 3rd week November.

Looks to me that cars built Monday maybe Tuesday make that weeks boat and weds on are on the boat the next week but who knows for certain

That's good to know hopefully they stay on track. My current lease car goes back today, its gonna feel like a long wait!!

Wheres do you guys find is the best place to get a lease deal?

I've new to leasing, but thought I would give it a go. I'm using a private firm and got £183 * 23+9, plus £150 admin fee. Works out at £250 per month averaged out.

I've gone for a 290 Black edition with metallic paint. No extras. 8k.

The dealers all seem a lot more expensive, but I've never thought about haggling.

I found my deal through contract hire and leasing. Leasing through a main dealer lookers Stockport.

Works out to be £1216.80 down +23 at £202.80 a month for 10k pa

With Affinity Leasing, originally ordered (21st July):
Leon Cupra 5d (manual, dynamic grey, rear view camera)
PCP: £3,500 deposit, 24 x £135.39
Monthly equivalent (excl. admin fee): £269.97
Admin fee: £216
Mileage: 8,000 miles
Excess mileage: 13.5p

Lead time approx. 8-10 weeks they said so looking at early October delivery. SEAT then had production issues with the standard alloys and the factory shut down in August as mentioned in previous posts. Later informed that they no longer build standard cars, so upgraded me to the Cupra Black pushing back delivery by 3-4 weeks.

Had unconfirmed build week 40, pushed back another week to 41 (w/c 10th Oct). Last week I was told that for my order and another two orders we couldn’t have our cars in dynamic grey. Had to pick another colour, alor blue, black, silver etc…then actually informed the factory was only using Nevada White on these three commissioned builds. WTH. Hopefully no one will have the same issues. I’ve waited too long not to have it!

Looks like most lease deals are around the same price? I wonder if it was worth haggling for some free options?

I've ordered mine in dynamic grey, but not had any mention of Seat not being able to fulfill. My build week is apparently 41 (this week?) and expected delivery late November early December.

Yes all around the same prices, think I got done slightly with mine since I’m paying a little more than others have quote, however, with the option to buy at the end of the term.

Definitely worth haggling for some freebies, though if you’ve ordered and they have a scheduled build week, it might be quite hard to change some of the specs at this late stage(?) Perhaps some free accessories such as mats, boot protector etc... I know I will. Nice colour choice, will be very jealous. I just hope I don’t have to wait until December.

I'm a little more than other deals. 5dr manual black edition, 10k PA, £257 a month + £150 fee. I'm still driving a car I couldn't afford outright though...so who cares.

There will ALWAYS be a better deal. Just find one you're happy with and go for it. Life's too short to worry about paying an extra £5 a month over someone else, so you keep looking until you find the cheapest possible deal...to then be told the order quota has been fulfilled.

Very very true

£257 a month with 10k pa is still a cracking deal though for the car you are getting!!

I agree, its probably better not to compare with others once signed, cos there is usually always a better deal round the corner. Same with most things! I didn't do much shopping around and just decided to go ahead as the lease was in my price range and mileage.

I just wanted to know if there was a knack to getting a good lease deal and where best to go - main dealers and haggle, or shop around with third parties. I'm just thinking about what best to do when my lease runs its term and where to look next time.

Contract Hire and Leasing looks like a good comparison site - thanks for that.

CHAL is a great site, when there's a good deal on. Pistonheads best lease deals available thread is also fantastic.

I'm paying a bit more for my 5 dr manual at £270 but it's main dealer so no admin charge and got a decent price on my old car. Plus they took the old cat early for me, essentially putting another 1500 back in my pocket plus the part ex. So not done to bad. Just stuck driving a 1994 rover 414 and it's beginning to grate now.
