Brilliant thanks Doug, (and Deano for that extra info).. so now we just need to work out where the 1246 plates can be found!

EDIT - the 1246 kit does not contain 1246 plates !!!!!!!

see here - https://roofracks.co.uk/pdf-reader/web/viewer.html?file=https://roofracks.co.uk/_pdf/1246.pdf

According to the Thule fitting guide

MK2 Leon uses - 769 bars or 391 bars, 754 feet, 1398 fitting kit

MK3 Leon uses - 769 bars or 391 bars, 754 feet, 1707 fitting kit

1707 fitting kit contains - 1231 & 1232 plates + 273, 274, 331, 332 feet

1398 fitting kit contains - 664, 665 & 855 plates + 74, 75, 78, 79 feet

So it looks like you will need the feet as well as the 1246 plates

Good point.. I always forget that the rubber feet are part of the fitting kit and specific to the car as well.

I already checked the 1246 kit on the off chance :D

Currently I am working through the PDF files one at a time checking to see if there is any method in numbering.. I think I might have to get crafty, time for a mass download and indexed search!

I searched every PDF.. No 1246 plates in any kits.. Maybe still exclusive to Seat dealers.

That will be why the SEAT bars clamp to the rear window area - and the thule bars need the short roof adaptor kit.

OK - I bit the bullet and bought the SEAT bars for the Leon SC

In the box is a pair of 127cm long aero bars
4 x 754 feet
4 x locks
4 x fastening keys
1 x plastic card to allow you to get the clamp plate passed the rear window rubber trim

The fitting kit supplied is labelled 1337
In the fitting kit is :

Front Left
Rubber Foot 402
Clamp Plate 1232

Front Right
Rubber Foot 403
Clamp Plate 1232

Rear Left
Rubber Foot 273
Clamp Plate 1246

Rear Right
Rubber Foot 274
Clamp Plate 1246

Brilliant.. I see this kit is available online but not acknowledged in Thule's support pages etc. I think I will try to buy the fit kit and hopefully the contents will be the same!

EDIT - sorry - thick fingers 1337

And the kit on the thule site does not agree with the contents.

1337 contents here - https://roofracks.co.uk/pdf-reader/web/viewer.html?file=https://roofracks.co.uk/_pdf/1337.pdf

This is clearly a kit made specially for SEAT

The label on the bag has a pair of numbers on it
101626-17
1337 5 1

Haha i ordered the 1377 too quick. Looking at 1337 it contains parts for a vw fox and not the same rubbers/brackets you got. Just been speaking to the company to see if we can work it out.

Sorry for that - only spotted it when you replied.

It looks like SEAT have agreed with thule that they are the only supplier of the kit.

Even thule don't list the parts separately to order as spares.

Perhaps the place you ordered from will do you a special in spare parts.

Yeh sounds like you are right.. Think I might just give up and get my kit on eBay and put money toward a new one from seat. At least the new rack parts can be reused in future cars hopefully.
