What did you and your MK2 do today?

Well, got my wheels refurbed. I didn't want silver but I also didn't want to go too dark as my winter wheels are black. I'm happy with the outcome but will hold final judgment to when they get fitted with new tires next week.

The SMD LED full interior lights kit turned up today, so fitted them and everything works fine.
Very pleased with the results. The difference is like night & day

Hey Rich, those rims do look real good. I can't tell from the picture but are they staggered?
What fitment, size and width are they? what size tyres? (if you dont mind me asking)

I just got my fenders rolled and was thinking about maybe changing the rims to a staggered set.

And I love the leon in white, I have been thinking about wrapping my car and changing colour to matt white or pearl white (current colour is yellow)

I could get 9.5j for the rears but they just come too far out and don't look right, wouldn't go any wider than 8.5j on the rear unless you want problems, well that's based on the figures above

Spent two hours yesterday trying to loosen an axle bolt, two breaker bars and an adpater broke, gave up in the end...

Had similar issues last weekend. Going to have to use some heat on it and try again.

Fitted LED sidelights and DRL's to previous R, had an occasional bulb warning but it soon went. Only issues were segments failing (particularly on sidelights) last lot were from hids 4 u iirc. They seemed ok. Also had a 21w Cree reversing LED which has lasted for two cars now.
As for LED headlights....... Only if you eat lots of carrots.....

Had xenons on R so never tried LEDs tbh. Got LED's on current Cupra and am not sold on them.

LED lights are not roadlegal in halogen clusters and, as far as I can tell from a bit of googling, they just don't work as well as bulbs. The new LED headlights that are on the newer cars are different as they are designed for LED technology.

Google LED h7 review and you'll see what I mean.
