I don't understand that then?! If they have stamped the book for the only service you have they should have a record of it. They usually send out reminders when the next service is due, how would they know when it is due if they don't have a record of the last one?!

Ok mate, let me know how you get along? There is a rabbit off somewhere, it just isn't making any sense?! Was the car advertised with fsh?

Did you pay top book price for it? If it doesn't have full history it should really have been discounted. It will affect it's resale value when you sell it, not by a massive amount but always sell for a little more and easier to sell with full history

I think i would be kicking off with the garage you bought it from, they should have informed you really that it didn't have full history. That's good money, do a valuation on it without full history and see what it's value comes back as

I'm not sure to be honest mate, i do my own. If it's just a peace of mind service, why dont you do it yourself, use genuine parts and keep the receipts. It's a shame your an hour away, i could of got you the parts at trade price and helped you do it

I'm from Stockton, near Middlesbrough.

If it was mine i would just do it for peace of mind and the receipt is as good as a stamp, if not better.

It's got a stamp for a recent service so you wont need to go to the dealers again till the next scheduled service is due for the warranty. Also you don't need to go to a Seat dealer to maintain the warranty. Any vat registered garage can do it as long as they use genuine parts and your warranty won't be affected

Cars looking good Rich, guessing you'll be handy at changing springs then if you're a mechanic ;)..

Wouldn't bother with a tuning box as they only trick the ecu, a remap would be better. Theres a big thread on them in the MK2 forum.

Cheers mate. Yeah springs are easy enough, will be doing mine at some point in the near future. Can do anything from springs to cambelts, pretty much anything, not much i can't do with cars.

Yours is looking good as well ;)
