Got mine yesterday, all arrived in one piece although customs made a mess of the box! I had a feeling it would be stopped and checked due to the NATO thing going on in Cardiff in the next week, the City Centre looks like a scene from a zombie film

if you think it ways more 6.5kg, which unless you are suffering from ebola, you shouldnt find heavy then we may have our first issue with the cheap chinese knock-offs

Way more than 6.5KG, Going to be up at around the weight of the Wagner at least IMO, if not more

Worth noting that these are bigger than the S3 so I would expect it to be heavier than that, but i was shocked when i picked it up.

Cheap cast end tanks :( Core looks lovely though and the end tanks do loo kto flow well, just poor materials.

Will get the weight up later tonight unless someone beats me too it. The more i think of it the more i think it will be 25-30lbs

I didn't think it was too heavy, guess someone needs to hit the gym more often... ;)

I suppose the weight will be compensated for with your extra BHP and Torque :)

You only lift once? :D

Yes the exta bhp will make up for the weight but too much of one and too little of the other would make this a pointless exercise...

**Also, i may have missed this bit, but you didnt all buy the same one did you? some copies may be lighter than the others depending on the region of china it comes from?

Well when i weigh it later on we will see if i'm just feeble or if it is heavy in relation to other large core coolers.

I removed my S3 cooler with plastic end tanks and sold it. I weighed it for posting and it was 6 kg
My airtec stage 2 cooler which I didn't weight but it was at least twice as heavy! Id say it was about 15 kg

Sounds like it will be the same weight as the Airtec then. Guess i'm just being a big girl thinking it was a lot heavier than it should be

They all use the thick heavy cast end tanks, apart from forge and peron. Can't compare to Oem. Oem is 30% smaller and plastic tanks. If anyone here has come from the 1.8t tuning world and used a wellycooler then this doesn't appear to be heavy interms of larger intercoolers.
I have seen the airtec and ths in person and they are exactly the same. Right down to the cast marks on the tanks.

ASR performance are a bit of a let down, my intercooler never got dispatched. I put a claim in today with paypal and received my money back instantly which i found a bit strange.
so just brought another from the first link. hopefully it will get here before Thursday next week.
