What's your "Individual Profile"

Just wondering what anyone else has set this up as on their car and what you prefer drive and use wise

not sure what models allow an individual profile but I know the 265/280 do atleast.

the only thing I will be changing is the diff setting from Cupra to High.

I dont use individual, only Sport and ECO. Individual Sporty loses the sound and ECO loses the coasting. (this is on 1.8T)

As the profile already gives Comfort, Sport and Cupra, I set up individual for my work trips at DCC - Sport, Diff - Cupra, Steering - Cupra, Engine and Aircon - Eco, to get the best mpg, but not have sloppy handling.

Normally I have individual set as DCC comfort, steering Cupra, diff Cupra, engine sport. However, did a longer motorway trip this week with the engine mode set on eco and was impressed with the mpg. Nearly every time I'm in it the logo is glowing yellow though

I've only had it a week but I ended up settling on the same profile.

My plan is to use Eco engine mode on Monday-Thursday... and then on Friday take a detour via the some nice roads in Cupra mode.

I normally just use comfort, then when feel like hearing some noise I get cupra mode with sport on.

I set up a Individual profile for my 280 that's a mix of cupra and comfort, lighter steering for daily driving is a must with power.

Millteks coming next week so looking forward to hearing that on cupra mode

I have never tried individual, I use comfort most of the time and Cupra for a bit fun.

My car is only ever in Comfort or Individual the latter of which is set as below:

DCC - Sport
Diff - Cupra
Steering - Cupra
Engine - Sport (would be Cupra, but fake noise thing is too loud and irritating)
Air Con - Normal

I think the Cupra suspension setting is borderline dangerous. The car sometimes leaves the ground if you hit a bump in the road it's so stiff!

Does the Cupra 280 have one of those fake noise things? Never noticed it...

Yes. It makes a really loud, fake sounding engine noise in Cupra made.

I have my Individual profile set for economy at present for when I'm just commuting or stuck in traffic (DCC-Comfort, Diff-Cupra, Steering-Comfort, Engine-Eco, Air-con-Eco). Then when the need arises I just flick over in to Sport or Cupra mode.

Mine doesn't seem to make any fake sounds at all. Been trying to listen out for anything artificial but not a thing!? I'll maybe unplug a few things when I can lol..

Cupra/Sport Drive Profiles

Has anyone noticed that when you choose the Sport or Cupra drive profile on a 280, that it puts the gear select to S (as shown by S3 or S4 depending what gear it's in), but if you toggle the gearshift to D the gear display changes to D4 or D5, and the revs drop as you are now in a higher gear, but still in the Cupra or Sport profile. What is actually happening here, as you are still in Cupra profile but revving less.

The revs increase to keep the revs near the turbo rpm

The adaptive dampers on the Cupra are amazing. Comfort mode for my commute really soak up the bumps over crap roads without the spine jarring , crashy ride. Sport / Cupra on a weekend stiffen things up nicely . I seem to get better mpg in comfort mode as well........this may be coincidental .

When I got Spa next weekend I plan to use the hidden "eco" setting along with comfort mode and drive mode to see what the car can do with these settings. on the motorway's anyway

I think you have the car in Sport / Cupra mode ( ie stiffer suspension and sound actuator working ) but the DSG is in D mode so changes up and down in a less aggressive manner. It's a good compromise in my opinion . A quick flick of the stick and you are ready for action.

The D/S selector works in any profile. If you leave the car parked up in Sport it will default back to D when you start it so the engine isn't being revved from cold.
