LCR Owners - Ignition keys

Hi Folks,

How much keys did you get when you bought your car?

I only got one remote 'flip' key and one normal key.

I raised my concers with the SEAT salesman he said thats all the keys they have for the car.


On prevoius Audi's I have bought, I always got 2 remote flip keys and the plastic type key, so 3 in total.

I'm a bit worried that there is still a key to my car in someone elses possession.

I've had 4 Leons (lol) and all of them have had 1 normal key and one flip key

Lol sorry mate, was just being honest.

I wouldnt worry about it though. The car is registered in your name, at your address, is insured etc, so I wouldnt worry at all.

I smiled nicely at the dealer....... Sure it was on the spec at that time. Was a surprise tbh .

My 2012 FR came with two flip keys

My (used) 56 Fr has 1 flip 1 normal. I imagine that you can ask for 2 'flips'when buying new and some dealers might charge extra. Never bought new so dont really know.

My Kia only ever had one key when i bought it. Never worried about another key, presumably the previous owner just lost it.

If you are worried I suppose you could contact the supplying dealer? Sould be in the service history.

My golf only came with 1 key, the dealer got me a new one as part of the deal.

Anyway I just got my mate to code out any keys that I didn't have, so if you are worried about someone having a key still. Just have it coded out

My K1 one has 2 flip keys and 1 normal key

Maybe 1 flip key was an extra add on?
