What make are standard discs and pads on a Cupra

Does anyone know the make of the standard discs and pads on a Cupra? I am getting discs and pads all round soon and am thinking about just taking it to a Seat garage and getting them to do it, but just wondered what brand they will use!

They will just use parts ordered from seat but i dont know who make them.
I wouldn't waste your money paying there high labour rates and inflated parts just take it too a small local garage and get them to use good quality patten parts like apce or pagid.

As above, Pagid are very good and I always use them. Eurocarparts always do deals and it isn't hard to self change them if you have the right tools.

Just avoid Eircher and other budget pads...

I was thinking of getting brembo max discs and pads and getting a local place to fit them, they said about 110 quid to fit, seat want about 430 for discs pads and fitting, I will take a look at pagid as heard they are good.

Deffo get the pagid pads from Eurocarparts as said above. They are about £25. Which is wayyyy cheaper than most other brands and pagid are a quality pad!!!Trying to order Brembos pads for the AP calipers are a nightmare! Lots advertise them but i dont even think they exist. Can turn into a shitty job if the pad retainer pins and slide plates are corroded tho!!

I got my pads from eurocarparts and they were pagid ones and they were crap I have the ap 4pot calipers and they squealed like mad I bought some Ferodo pads and they are amazing and have no noise or brake fade

I bought brembo rear disks and pads fir my fr. They feel good but there's Abit of faint squealing. Strange considering iv got cheap budjet brake world ones on the front that are quiet. You can tell the brembos are machined to a much higher standard though. Ebc are always a good option if your wanting that little but more

Squealing brakes if it is not being caused by trapped stones, is usually caused by fitting pads that do not have "anti-squeal" shims fitted to them. While ECP do sell Pagid pads, and Pagid are suppliers to the VAG factories, the actual kit part number might not be exactly the same as used at the factory, this will be because ECP want to rationalise their stock holding, so only hold a short or "adequate" selection of the correct material in the required shapes. So they fit the car okay, work okay as brakes, but might not have ant-squeal shims fitted. Textar, another of the TMD Friction group of companies also get fitted by VAG at factories, I have had issues with them squealing and contacted/complained to their UK representative, if you are serious about this, maybe you should complain as well, in both my cases, they said sorry and sent me the correct pasts, ie these were kits that ECP/GSF did not sell! Alternatively, clean up the pads and apply some anti-squeal paste to sort them out for a while.

SEAT normally wan't a ridiculous amount for anything.

+1 for the Max discs. I used them on my 182 Cup years back and very good they were too. When braking heavily they didn't warp or fade, the braking was definitely better, used with DS 2500 pads. I'll certainly be buying that combination again!

I know for a fact that the back pads are defo the P85020 as seen someone on here fit them with the max discs, but not sure if the front pads are the P85045 or the P85035, the only difference I can see is the P85045 has a wear sensor, whatever that is. Can someone take a look at that site and tell me if everything on there seems correct? Thanks

Can anyone tell me the actual size of the front pads for the Cupra? I keep seeing different measurements everywhere! The Brembo ones are Thickness: 20.6, Width: 156.4, Ht: 74 yet everyone on here seems to say other pads are Pad Width 130.0 Pad Height 81.5 Pad Thickness 16.0, and other people say even different measurements!

Now that's even more confusing as the pagid ones are 81.5mm Height, 15.7mm Thick and 130mm Wide.
On the official Brembo catalogue the Cupra pads are 74mm Height, 20.8/19.6mm Thick and 156.3mm Wide.
Will this matter? I don't understand why there is a difference in size! Have Brembo got it wrong?

Brembo pads for the v6 clio's are 130 wide which seems the right diamentions as the 156mm seem far too big thats 6" the pads werent that big when I replaced my pads.

Also if you go on ebc's webite catalogue it lists the same parts numbers for the ap calipers on the ibiza cupras and the v6 clio's which is dp3036c

I don't understand why Brembo have got the wrong pads for the Cupra seeing as it's AP that make the caliper and AP are part of Brembo. EDIT - I have emailed Brembo to ask them whats going on.

I read that non uk cupra's have single pot calipers maybe they fit these and other vag cars with 312mm discs with single pot calipers.
Brembo must have there info about Cupra calipers wrong.

Ah good point, yes the 4 pots were only standard in the UK weren't they. Thanks for that! Will sort out some pagid pads I think that are the correct size.

Right so after all this confusion I think I have found the correct Pagid pads on euro car parts, can somebody take a look and confirm?!

Fronts, 130 as opposed to the 156 I found before. Only thing is this says in info "Manufacturer Restriction AP Racing" anyone know what that means?!

They look like the ones. I think it just ment they only fit cars with ap calipers.
Carparts4less are cheaper though so try them.
