My Candy Leon mk2 Cupra K1 BTCC

Hi guys, I was a member on here a while back but doesn't seem to let me back on my old details, so I created a new account.

This is my 3rd Leon Cupra although only my first MK2.

It's a Candy White 2008 Cupra K1 BTCC

A few pics of how I got it..







The obligatory missing tow eye cap..



Them pictures were taken the first day that I got to work in the car after a nightmare that started off like this..



That was due to the battery dying first day of ownership!
So replaced that and enjoyed it for a couple of days when I decided that the de-badged grille was awful, so I replaced that with a genuine Cupra one found on here!




The next job on the list is to get the rear bumper painted back to white around the exhaust trim as I hate it black, and I've also got a new tow eye cover from seat to pick up today to get painted and fitted at the same time.

Also selling that de-badged grille if anyone is interested in it.

Just had a new standard DV replaced due to the old one being split




I'm also wondering if anyone can help identify the wheels that are on it as they aren't the standard Cupra wheels?

Not so keen on the front number plate, the shape and size make the front end look like a chipmunk lol

Yeh well my brother in law likes it black but i just cant get away with it, loses the shape of the bumper

The one where the No plate fell off i agree but i like the size of the actual plate on the car

Oh yeah, it's the plate bracket.
Thought you had an angled number plate which looks like a big tooth and photoshopped out the reg

Will have to get the wheels off tomorrow night when I'm fitting the H&R springs so we shall see and ill report back!
Also forgot to mention the car is also stage 1 mapped.

yeh they look vey similar, only difference is mine doesnt have the writing around the hole for the air valve

So i checked the wheels when they were off last night and they are stamped up with Ronal stamps and Seat stamps and there 8x18" ET35.

Also took the rear bumper off to get painted today, getting rid of the black around the exhaust and new tow eye cover put on!

Hi mate, wasnt difficult no, it was just all the same size torx screws.

Start with removing the rear light, then there is 3 x screws on the top of the bumper and then 4 x screws in each wheelarch.
