Have to say the new Cupra does suit darker colours

The white one looks plainer for some reason

The white ones boot view also looks very audi A3 shaped

It looks great from the front and its good that the sat nav screen has been raised to a better level to look at on the move. The exhaust ain't my thing but I suppose the tuning companies will have ideas on how to beef them up.

That Polo R a few pages back will be a hell of a car if it comes the way it says. 4wd and all the potential power in a car that small ;)

Just been able to see the pics on my laptop , seats look a bit dissapointing compared to the mk2 ones , is the white surround leather ? You can clearly see the alacantra on the seats but can't make out what material the white is , will be a nightmare to keep clean if it was alacantra as well.

I had white alcantara (or was it silver) seats in my FR, looked the dogs bollox and so long as you protected it well they were a doddle to keep clean, much better than cloth imo

Wheels and rear look awesome, front is the same apart from no fogs and a different badge and the seats are awful - like a 10 year old peugeot. Bet it's fun though :)

Not keen on the front or the seats either, dont look agressive enough for a cupra to me.

Like the powertrain and the diff, should make it abit of a weapon.

So the white is something completely different then, that's interesting, I actually like those Seat and alcantara is great for keeping your ass stuck to the seats, I have stupid tartan cloth and I really miss my old ones

Do the seats look nice? the seats in the mk2 cupra were nice but the mk3 seats looks very cheap in comparrison , focus st and even fiesta st get recaros as standard , but the mk3 seats just look like armchairs

Going by those photos the Cupra does look a million times better in the tin, SEAT must be one of the worst companies for making good cars look crap in press shots.

Those seats though… bleurgh… they don't look anywhere near as supportive as the MK2's :(

I've got to jump on the "Seats look terrible" bandwagon. Judging from the dealer pictures the seats look very poor.
Everything else though looks miles better compared to the press shots. Especially the wheels. They look great, compared to SEAT's official photos.

What im also having trouble understanding is why there is no 2.0 tsi engine other than the Cupra?
Why not a golt GTI like for like FR sharing the same engine? as previously done?

Is one planned for this year?

Maybe there is a special limited edition coming ala edition 30 / 35 golf (using a detuned Cupra engine) , or is this where the 260 bhp Cupra slots instead?

I've always wondered the same thing but from a price point where would a 210/220PS TSI FR sit and more importantly, would it sell?

probably took too many GTI sales from the mk6, reckon they will just stick to the 1.8 this time round.

That way, VW has every individuals power needs catered for with too much direct competition
