Fast fwd a few years and my car car now won't pass mot due to silly new rules with air bag lights.
One garage said remove air bag light to pass which is ok for modded cars, is this true?
Have had a friend try putting a resistor in for the seat but light still coming on.
Anyone now how to remove dash to access bulb?

Had a go at that, cleared fault but it came back in a few secs.
Used resistors and still no luck.
I've just removed clocks and blanked out the air bag light with duct tape and now no light even though it's still on. This was what my garage was going to do to pass mot .
Saved my self the labour cost of that job.

I don't mean clearing the code, I mean actually coding it out so it doesn;t care that the seats are gone.

Officially, removing the bulb is also a fail, but if your tester is ok with it, thats all that matters

It is fairly simple. The only time it gets difficult is if you remove all the airbags. Because you can't remove the light for the steering wheel one

When I fitted my OMP steering wheel the air bag light worked correctly as wheel had a resistor with it.
The problems started when the seat was removed. Hopefully the garage that advised me to remove the air bag bulb will pass me with flying colours lol!
