Dropped her off for a service and MOT, dad followed/ raced me. Questioned whether it'll pass a smoke test now it's mapped as it smokes quite a lot now.......

Decided to take my egr valve and inlet manifold off and clean it all up today. I'm getting the egr deleted along with the dpf so I thought getting all the crap out would be a good idea.

Before

And after a lot of scrubbing

Then made up a blanking plate out of some spare sheet ali and rebuilt it all fitting the plate to the egr pipe blanking it off. No engine management light yet but I'm sure it will b soon :)

York is a nice place - only 40 mins away from me :)

How did you find the *museum*?

It was good. Got some nice pics of the Mallard.

How on earth did the spell check not pick that up?

I was sure that I had got that wrong but the spell checker didn't flag it.

York was a very clean city, nothing like Southampton or Portsmouth.

****ing engine management might came on today, used to have this problem last year and it went away (thought it was down to over fueling at the petrol station)
I've reset it and will keep an eye on it again.
This car is definitely going to be sold in the new year

I've been a few times to the railway museum, quite like it.

Also been down to Southampton a few times too for the boat show, stayed in the premier inn at Eastleigh one year :) I actually considered going to uni in Southampton - I think it's a pretty nice city!

So took the R back to the dealer today because the back bumper is a different shade of red to the rest of the car I know the front and back bumpers are plastic but they should still match the car the front one does but the back doesn't anyway got there for there body shop manager to fob me off saying its because there plastic and the water based paints don't come out the same as the metal body well I think that's absolute :censored: so basically he said that there was nothing they can do so I drove 10miles to another seat dealer and the bloke there said straight away that the bumper was a different colour to the rest of the car he advised me to contact seat head office which I have and sent them an email with a picture of the bumper and now waiting to hear what they say.

They're talking BS mate. Every car has plastic bumpers and I'm more than certain that every other car on their forecourt would be all the same colour. Just take him outside and get him to prove his point, which he won't. He will then look a prat
Red is a hard colour to match so its probably been painted, its easily scratched getting things out of the boot so wouldn't be uncommon for a bumper to be painted. I had the same thing with a red Audi I bought approved used from main dealer, difference is the salesman noticed it on my collection day and gave me a courtesy car for a week so it could be re painted, and it came back perfect
