Congrats! Join the wheel club. Just t0m left to buy now I think.

PS Happy birthday :)

Happy Birthday mate :funk:, looking forward to how they look on the beast.

Thanks guys. They won't look that good until I'm a little lower.
I'm still a little shock that I've bought them as I was going to buy a liquid gauge! At that price I couldn't resist them. Suspension is going to be put back a bit know.

Happy birthday Paul :)

Nice buy, good wheel for your inevitable track time! I was close to choosing these as my next wheel but in anthracite. But I'm going for something else now.
.

I wanted the Anthrecite but only the gloss black where reduced. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with current wheels I might get some winter tyre.
Hope I haven't scuppered you wheel plans.

If you don't need to sell the standards, keep them as a spare set and get winter tyres once the season has finished maybe? I'm sure the 1.2's are going to look good on yours especially once decked. Nice motorsport wheel!

And no luckily you've not scuppered my plans mate I'm pretty set now with my wheel choice :)

That's good Tom I'm looking forward to see what you get.
Thinking about it I think Monday at Cadwell and see everyone else's cars on nice rims played a part. Especially these

Hate to tell you mate but looks like someone's pinched your cup holder ;)

Un-tinted rear lights look much better on your car IMO.

It fell to bits and I've not got around dismantling half the dash to fit a new one yet.
I quite like the standard lights but I need to replace the boot handle for a standard one. What was I thinking when I sprayed it!

Don't have to take much off, if I remember right I just took my headunit out, that exposed a couple of screws, removing those was enough to pull the center console fascia back far enough to get the new one in. If you want to do it "properly" then I think the other two are behind the ashtray.

Thanks Tom I'm looking forward to seeing what you've picked wheel wise.
Glad you had a good day yesterday don't be disheartened with you're figures I'd be over the moon with them for stage two!

I'm waiting to see if I get my April bonus at work and if I do I'll splash out and get them done :) Definitely got to get the car serviced soon as a coilpack went last night. My spark plugs are overdue by 4 months now, she just needs freshening up. My advice is keep on top of those decent spark plugs when they are due! My car has been firing up slower than normal of late so it's been coming lol.

Yeah I'm not bothered now about the figures as the car felt quick again on the road later that night and that's what bothers me more, how it runs on the road :)

Everything has arrived today to replace my tired old wishbones.
null_zps3c8c5fcf.jpg

I managed to find some wishbones on eBay that had been painted and the bushes removed. Which was lucky.

For the front bushes I've decided to fit Defcon inserts and powerflex bushes to suit for the early recalled MK1 TT wishbones.
null_zps7446c883.jpg

null_zpsa14ce438.jpg

The inserts replicate the early TT wishbones by reducing the size of the bush and stiffening the bush by 50%. They sharpern turn in and increase steering feel. I have read some very good reviews and they are much easier to buy than the early TT wish bones.
The reason why the wishbones where recalled (for those that don't know) and therefore hard to come by. Was that when the TT was first launched. Unfortunately a few journalists went backwards off round abouts so Audi made some revisions to the early TT's. Changing it from a proper sports car into the car it is today. One of the revisions was to drop the original wishbones for a revised version with larger softer bushes (also then fitted to S3

For the rear bushes I've gone for superpro castor correction bushes

Which again have good review.

My cars booked in a week on Friday to fit all this lot, the solid subframe bushes, 25mm Nuespeed front ARB, steering rack bush. Oh and also a Blueflame 3" DP and decat!!!

Looking at this has got me thinking again
I wonder if front bush could be replaced with a large billet piece with a spherical bearing in and some additional bracing to the subframe

I've just booked on my first track day! LVSR day at Blyton beginning of June. It's very exciting but slightly shiting my self.
