Have fun fitting all those bits mate! :)

Jom coilovers :(

I'm not as low as the below pic at the moment, its more if you hit alittle bump on full lock or up a drop kerb.

Found a huge bit of wheel movement on full lock tonight! got MOT tomorrow at 1130 too, I'll try and get it looked at and see whats up, but I don't know!

Good news though, when the new box oil was changed, apparently the oil was nice and clean, with no swarf in it this time. It selects all gears and there is no abnormal diff movement/noise.

Well, the armrest is re trimmed in leather, looks really good! Started taking her to bits for the new box yesterday, took the subframe and shafts off, fitted new ARB to the subframe. Fitted the new sump too, looks really good. Tonight We took the old box out, undressed it and dressed the new one. Took the flywheel off, so I could put the new rattle plate one, with some new pressure plate stretch bolts from darkside. Hopefully tomorrow I can get a half day off and do the rest, which will be put the clutch and pressure plate on, then the box in and put her back together. Got to pick up a o/s track rod too as it's knocking. Made a shocking discovery today, the upper gearbox mount, the threads on the mount were cross threaded, so it could be a good thing that the box is back out again, and the new one had the mount still attatched, luckily! We came to undo the mount, and they really weren't tight lol. Will update with pics tomorrow depending if she's back on all 4's!

This is how she was left on Monday night.

ARB fitted, what a crap fit by the way, the droplinks have to be sort of stretched out to fit.

Shallow sump, very nice piece of kit. Oh and for whoever asked about oil level, it doesn't have the oil level sensor indent, so that means with it being 11mm shallower, it actually holds the same amount of oil.
IMG_3246_zps694a55d0.jpg

The old one suffered a battering at some point by the looks of it, probably the threads as the sump plug was different too.

These little bad boys really tighten up the changes, really reccomend them.

Little update, got a little few knocks. One is definately the tie rod, got to get a 34mm spanner to do it though, what a **** size! Think the other noise might be a wheel bearing, but I've just sourced a hub puller so I'll do the tie rod and the bearings at the same time. Finally got the cv's off too, so I'm going to get new ones on and use OEM shafts and send the others back because they're really not nearly as good as the OEM ones. They took some battering tonight though!

Both my babys hahaha, had fun on th hog tonight

Started taking out the interior today to blacken it all right up! Bought some leatherette for the roof but I cba with it really, so got some fabric on its way too. Also on its way are some team heko wind deflectors, a connects2 to use an aux lead, more yellow film for the headlight covers, a genuine boot tray and a single nomad pillar. Re painted 2 jack trims and one of the bumper caps as it got battered when the bumper came off, so ill do some stone chips with the cocktail stick and paint in cap method.

It is a bloody big job I didn't realise how much trim needed to come off.... Majority of the boot, all the inside except the dash lol got to wait until at least Monday for the fabric paint until she's back together, and hopefully get rid of some creeks and squeejs

Nice one on the black interior, never seen someone do this before. As long as you put lots of coats on then it should last forever :D
