Hi guys,
Is it easy/hard to clean the throttle body? Where exactly is it and what would i need to do it? Car feels like its choking sometimes when accelerating, wondered if giving the throttle body a clean would help the engine? I doubt its ever been done.
so if i take the throttle body off and leave every thing connected clean well and dont touch the butterfly i dont have to reset anything ?????
Guys, ive been reading about throttle body cleaning etc. im about to go and do it, but I dont know what cleaner to go for, everyone is saying carb cleaner etc. could someone point me to the actual product. i.e brand and name of what they've used or what is percieved to be the best.
Thanks
I've not heard that. I took the 4 bolts off and cleaned from behind so it all ran out onto a towel under it rather than into the manifold. You just need a gasket.
I'd imagine you'd need to chuck alot of the stuff though the engine before any damage could occur.
