The dirt that the clay lifted looked a lot like brick dust, probably from the house thats being done up next to yours

There was also a hell of a lot of tar spots all over the car

Products used
Autobrite Magifoam Snow Faom
Megs Gold class shampoo
AutoGlym Tar and Sap remover
Sonus Green clay
AutoGlym SRP, applied with a DA
Workstat Jett seleant.
Megs Endurance tire gloss

We managed to add a lot more depth and shine to the paint and even get rid of some of the lighter scratches, there's a few areas that need a bit more attention but it's a step in the right direction.

Hopefully those bloody houses next to mine finish soon, getting on my nerves now with all the dirt they are producing.

Pics look ace mate, thanks for those. Car really shines now, parked up last night at the train station and when looking back it just gleamed :)

Looks really good for the detail up mate. Top work by Daz as usual :)

Really coming on now with the exterior compared to a few months back even, good progress bud.

Cheers mate. I even ordered my cleaning gear today so time to get cracking. It's coming along nicely now. Can't wait for the shows :)

Lol.

Mines silver, in desperate need of some attention with the wax and polish after the winter though. Thing is I live in a third floor flat so it's a bit of a ******* to give it a good wash!

Where I lived before made it a pig to do mine also. Sure you will get to it. D.K used several different products on mine and together they complimented each other nicely for a great end result

The Werkstat stuff is great. I used to use it all the time.

Use to? You really are becoming a track slag ;)

Looks great mate.

You may find those scratches come back as SRP is more of a filler than correction compound.

Haha no I just use something else now.

Clean race cars are faster ;-)

Oh really, DOH I have been losing power because the cars so filthy. Need to get my ass in gear :p

Thanks mate. Cars still going to the painters to get sorted but still a nice treat from Darren. Think he just got annoyed of seeing such a dirty car on his driveway every weekend lol

I'm eyeing up Sonus clay bars with a big bulk detailing gear purchase soon. DK uses them so can't be bad ;)

Get ordering man :)

The ultra fine is good for only light bonded contaminants.

I'm doing an order soon too :)

Never knew you were into the detailing side of things. Thanks for the info as well. I am a newbie to this stuff

El, love the car!! If you don't mind me asking where did you get the rear lights from??

Cheers,
Matt.

Cheers buddy. The lights are a eBay special. They pop up from time to time. Before I saw these I was going to either spray mine or get the lamin-x tint film

This is what DK suggested for mine as its not too bad.

El, you've gotta keep her looked after like this now with the cleaning side. She looks a different car. No more £5 washes down the Poles' unit ay.. ;)
