I guess I will replace them then :) the car looks too bare as it is now, so it definitely needs something. That's a job for this weekend !

Still haven't got them on buddy with this bloody weather ! I will get round to it....one day

Do spacers not impact in a big way on the amount of pressure on the lug nuts? I would love a set of 10/15mm spacers, just on the back, but don't like the idea of it putting too much strain on the nuts.

The lug nuts don't take the weight of the car. Torqued up properly not even the central locator should take the weight really, its the friction between the inner surface of the wheel and the brake disc and hub that should take the weight. The lug nuts just create the high level of friction by holding them tightly together.

Spacers however do increase the leverage on the components, meaning the shocks work harder and increases wear. Just the same as changing the offset of the wheel from 45 to 35 for a 10 mm spacer. I ran spacers on my MINI for years to clear the brakes at the front, but it was always the rear wheel bearings that went weirdly! However I had updated suspension and bushes.

Personally think spacers are not a bad thing, just torque them up properly.

Just picked up my first Seat Leon FR in january. Previously owned a nissan micra :/ so needless to say a huge upgrade and couldnt be happier, until I saw your car Benji...unreal its what I aspire my car to get close to! So of course I got questions I need to ask to figure out just how the heck you got your yolk looking like this!

1. How did you black colour the panel behind the front number plate?
2. How did you paint the plastic panels inside the car gloss black?
3. where did you get the front splitter for the car?

I myself am looking to get a set of 18" orions to start the mod process, looking forward to it. But I honestly will be back looking at yours for guidance and what to do next, awesome work!

1.The part of the bumper behind the number plate can b pulled off the bumper and painted or wrapped which I have done on a friends car.
3. The splitter is from Triple R Composites, who can be found on Facebook, my friend also has the same one

Well my vagcom and cable arrived yesterday so I spent quite a while playing. Managed to change quite a few things and I am over the moon.

Windows close upon rain sensor detecting rain. ( Even if ignition is off) VERY VERY COOL feature
XDS strong
Brake Assist strong
Rear wiper inactive
Needle sweep
Large MPH display on MFD
Bong for unlocking car
Bong when locking car
Mirrors fold down when reversing
CORNERING FOGS OFF! ( Most important of all )
Rear wiper wash fluid inactive
Tyre pressure monitoring turned on ( This was turned off for some reason even though I have the feature + button!! Strange )
Reversing fogs off
Activated Flashing brake lights in event of harsh/emergency braking

I also noticed that I can turn on/off a rear view parking camera. This suggests rns315 can support a camera so I am looking into installing one that will display on the sat nav screen.

Very happy.

Wouldn't mind doing a few of these (mirrors fold down when reversing and windows close when it starts raining). Is anybody aware if I will be able to activate these on my facelift Leon FR?

Thanks,

Kev.
