So i was mixing online activity and alcohol the other night i and i bought myself a WOT box after seeing this video,

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sKoZXjLz208

Could have been worse i guess, i just hope there are no Thai brides in the post too, LOL.Definitely a crisis of some sort going on here.

good to see you posting Robbie, how you getting on with the meth. I've done my first throttle boody (60mm) in through meth ingress i guess :( but i've also changed from map sensor delivery to maff which meters it out more correctly with regards injector duty cycle.

I think the bouncing off the limiter with fuel cuts in not something you should be doing at every set of lights, the no lift to shift however would be nice, luckily i have IE rods... Alot of places are offering these on the OEM ECU map without any hardware, i went this route as i can remove it at any time, the only turn off and its a big one is the amount of slicing and dicing to the loom, this would turn alot of folks off i am guessing.

Meth is going good Willy, i have been through 3 TB's nowt so i am adding 10% directly to my petrol tank and just injecting water in 2 steps, pre TB and Post TB, i also have it setup in a way that if i dont have meth, water injection still keeps the knock down.

What kit are you using for the maf delivery?

Trying to get back into the car but its tough enough i am in the US everymonth now so finding time is a bitch, at least i get to blast up and down the motorway going to and from the airport, car hasn't missed a beat over the past few months, i have really enjoyed driving it.

WOT box is a nice job but hard on the car, clutch box and cat,

launch is not something i like using rob, I think it melted my cat but Flat shift is nice

again the pressure on the engine isnt my prob its the pressure on the box, diff etc

best of luck with it!

Well i installed the WOT Box the other day, overall its pretty easy to do if you are ok with soldering and cutting ignition cables. I used this as a guide, the only thing different IIRC were the coilpack cable colors but the N2MB guide has a chart for different cars.

http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?4333538-DIY-N2MB-s-WOT-Box-2-step-and-WOT-Shifting

The job took me about 3hrs in total, 1.5hr of this was the usual dicking around trying to feed cables through the firewall into the drivers footwell area.

The WOT box itself is super simple to program, i am really really impressed with the WOT shifting, its super quick and super easy but i'm just glad i have an uprated clutch, this feature is a welcome addition to the car :)

The 2-step launch for me at least in a front well drive car with road tyres is hit and miss, most of the time you just lite up the fronts and go nowwhere, i am still tweaking but currectly have it set to 3500rpm.

As Jonny95_SXE said above, he thinks the WOT Box melted his CAT, i can confirm the chances are a WOT BOX will kill your cat, i am(was) running a BF 200cell cat, after testing the 2-step it blew half of it out the exhaust pipe, i only tested it for about 5sec, so beware, if you dont like buying news cats, get a decat before running this mod.

Here's what the cells from my cat looks like, luckily i am not worried about killing it, it barely past the emissions test the last time round so i knew it was on the way out, maybe this part was already melted and a restriction hense the system blew it out, we will never know, i do know i always wanted to run de-cat, not such an expensive one though, LOL.

This weekend family, work and weather permitting i will take it off and remove the remaining cells from it rather than buying a new test pipe.

read my mind! exactly what I am at tomorrow...

at least my myth is now confirmed.
launch does seem more applicable in a 4wd bus which the clutch will soak up torque and you have buckets of traction
