Awesome looking motor, front is identical to the look I'm aiming at (only got car on Saturday). Would also love that look for my exhuast but not sure if that works with the 170 Diesel, so going to go down the aero exhuast route instead.

Had my own design side stripes on my previous car (MINI Cooper S) just got to design something custom as don't like to copy...

Thank you matey ;)
This exhaust will fit perfectly on the diesel bud as all the Leon's have the same exhaust routing and mounts, you just have to get the diffuser part and cut it like I did, there is a guy on here that did it on his so I will try and dig out the thread :)

Benjani! Did you manage to get your new brakes on? What you doing with the old FR setup?

Getting fitted next monday Greg ! I tried to do them last week, but half way through I realised they never sent me the right brake lines :( There is no way I am taking them buggers off again so I have the garage doing them for me haha. I'm not sure what I am doing with them quite yet, I think I will keep them until I sell the car and put them back on and recoup some money from the 345's. I was going to sell them but they only go for like £100 :( If you are after a set then check out the mk5golfgti forum, they pop up there quite often and they are cheap ! They are great brakes and already nearly put me through the windscreen when braking sharply, so god knows what these new ones will be like

I don't blame you! That's fair enough dude :) It was just on the off chance that you were maybe going to sell them on, I'd snap them up. I need something a bit more meaty than the standard front 280mm brakes that come on the 1.9. They are sh1t! I was shocked to find the exact same setup on my grans new fabia monte carlo which weighs a lot less and has half the power! So I'm after a set of FR brakes.... :D

You never know, I may change my mind so you can have first dibs if I decide to sell :) The 312mm are very good, I am only upgrading because of the aesthetics really, they look seriously mean tucked under some 17's or 18's... 19's less so. I was going to get the disks J hooked but they are expensive as it already

Oh right. I'm used to Petrol cars and assumed the diesel back box would be different in some way.

Having said that my car will end up a replica of yours at that rate and that right royally ****** me off when a guy in a cooper replicated my cooper S :-/

Ok mate I'd appreciate that :) I know what you mean, the 345's look awesome, although on mine, it would be a bit OTT... haha

Feck it, they look [B)]

Don't worry about it buddy, a lot of peoples cars on here look the same because there are only certain things to do with them, thats why they all look cool ;)

Looking very nice keep up the good work :D

Thanks :)

Finally had the 345mm brakes fitted and boy do they look good! May decided to change the "Seat sport" logos further down the line but they will do for the time being :) Hard to know about any improvement yet because the pedal is still spongey, so it could do with another bleed.

Yeah, Evan sent me a few out, I have one in the rear window aswell but a bigger one :)

Side stripes may be coming off at the weekend too, I have got a little bit bored with the design so I might try a new one.
It's time for its winter detail though!

Quick question on the rear diffuser. I read it needs painting, however what colour is it before painting? I want it to be matt black, so if it already is does it really need painting?

The diffuser bit that you stick on to the rear bumper insert is a smooth black, not like the grey textured look of the insert so it would look a bit daft. It would probably be better if you vinyl wrapped it all as it is still cheap and can be undone if you mess it up :p it would require a large piece of vinyl and might be a bit tricky to get the fins etc. it might look okay if you left the insert alone and just wrapped the diffuser section matt black?

Thank you ;)

Bolt straight in matey, it's very easy to do, takes 5 minutes. They work perfectly without any programming but you will get the 'bulb out' warning on the dash. So if you are OCD and it begins to annoy you then you can get them programmed at a dealership but they will want an hours labour which is around £85 :censored:
