I don't think so mate. There are loads of people on here running sportlines and have had no problems after years. Sportlines have improved the ride in my car and others too. Its always best if you get shocks to go with them but they simply are not needed. I would 100% reccommend sportlines to anyone

Because i heard after a while they wear the shocks down but i dunno. I have a 2007 leon, you think its gonna be worth using sportslines? as my shocks are obv more worn than yours?

After doing more research it depends on the mileage as to how long the shocks last. cupra maybe fine as it may be able to take the difference as maybe sportier shocks compared to the stylance lol

At the end of the day the shocks can give up whenever they want, regardless of whether it has been lowered or not. Kev had 2 broken shocks on his Cupra R which was less than a year old, on standard suspension...
I wouldn't worry an just go ahead with it, if they are still going strong it is a good chance you have a good set to begin with :)

Just spent a few hours on ebay and managed to buy a couple of things to keep me busy.
New sidelights
New side vinyls
New normal reg plates ( PC Plod getting on my back regarding the pressed ones) + some sticky velcro so I can take them off quickly for pics etc.
New dust caps
White vinyl wrap
Red spray paint ( Secret ;) )
Black base coat + clear coat to Re-do the front grill gloss black and lower lip ( thanks stone chips)
Some little FR stickers for the brakes.

I'll probably add to that by tonight as I have nothing else to do but buy needless crap :)

Oh and another £200 splashed out on detailing gear to go with the thousands of ££ worth of my other stuff.

How much did ya pay for your rear lights. Btw great looking car.

Luckily I got them from a member on here who was selling his car, they were a couple months old and I think they were around £240 and are £350 to buy new :) So damn good deal!

Car is looking sweet as mate. Just needs a black roof...:D

Thanks mate! I need a black roof but I think I want it painted instad of vinyl. I know it's cheap but it's hit and miss whether vinyl comes out good because I have seen some shocking ones and good ones done by the same companies :(

You have too much monies.

:)

I haven't done much to the car recently so funds have been growing for a change haha! Saying that i'm off to the formula 1 this weekend in belgium so I should be saving it :D

To be honest if it were my money then I'd go for painting/spraying as I'd be concerned about the vinyl peeling etc. At least with paint you can polish away to your hearts content. Think vinyl is wash, dry and that's about it (unless I'm misinformed!).

You can lightly polish vinyl but it shows up marks and swirls very very easily. Then you can wax etc.
Some "gloss" black vinyl though just isn't glossy atall and it never reflects like paint does. However when I come to sell it I would have to get it white again which is more money so I dont know what to do haha! I'll probably get a big sheet and do it myself as it will cost less than £20 and if I dont like it then I can peel it off :D It's just unbolting the aerial and stuff that is a PITA

I applied the first ones wrong and had a few little bubbles in that have annoyed me ever since. So I bought some new ones but forgot to tell the seller I wanted them plain. Then bought another set that arrived today :D

The ones I have available are the "Seat sport" ones, if you want them :)

Well my vagcom and cable arrived yesterday so I spent quite a while playing. Managed to change quite a few things and I am over the moon.

Windows close upon rain sensor detecting rain. ( Even if ignition is off) VERY VERY COOL feature
XDS strong
Brake Assist strong
Rear wiper inactive
Needle sweep
Large MPH display on MFD
Bong for unlocking car
Bong when locking car
Mirrors fold down when reversing
CORNERING FOGS OFF! ( Most important of all )
Rear wiper wash fluid inactive
Tyre pressure monitoring turned on ( This was turned off for some reason even though I have the feature + button!! Strange )
Reversing fogs off
Activated Flashing brake lights in event of harsh/emergency braking

I also noticed that I can turn on/off a rear view parking camera. This suggests rns315 can support a camera so I am looking into installing one that will display on the sat nav screen.

Very happy.

Right, fitted all the little bits and pieces I got a couple of weeks ago, apart from the new plates as I am sticking with them until I get pulled one more time. I will take some pics when the front splitter is fitted in 2 weeks and I give it another detail :)

On friday I had the new stage 2+ file put onto the car and it is now even more crazy than it was! I'm really impressed...It was worth it for the look on the face of a BMW 335i driver as he attempted to belittle me on the M6

While I was playing with the car I refitted the whiteline rear anti roll bar (hardest setting) and re-activated the strongest XDS and brake settings ( I put things back to standard while Seat investigated a rear knocking noise, which turned out to be the exhaust against the underside ). It is superb around the bends now and no matter how hard I pushed it stayed firmly planted.

I think I am back in love with it! :D

A few pics of the RARB from a while ago which I forgot to upload:

On the hardest setting the handling is superb, the rear end is lively but it is very easy to control
