DPF power issues? Fault codes and loss of power

Car is a 2006 170 FR TDI.

Have been having problems with my dpf light coming on/off for the last two weeks, usually after the light came on I drove on the motorway for around 30mins and it would go off. So went on the motorway and the dpf light light cleared but soon after while still driving on the motorway 2 lights came on (engine and coil, coil flashing first and then engine light stayed on and coil went off) and it went into limp mode. Car has done 111k miles and is due recall work for injectors but wanted dpf issue resolved first

The coil light went out while driving but the ecu light stayed on. After stopping for about 10 minutes, the ecu light went out also.

Now I am trying to figure out what caused this.....also now the car seems to hesitate and seems to be lacking power, its revs up really high and seems like its hesitating....whereas before limp mode it had some good umph at around 2000 rpm but its goes really high around 4000 revs but still struggles...

I did installed some led side lights so I am not sure if this could be a issue or if its just the dpf playing up....no lights on dash at present....

Changed fuel filter today but still the same.....I also took it into a dealer who put it on fault reader and it gave error; P2002 Faulty dpf operation.....he did clear the fault for me and said it maybe worth taking it for a forced regen

I have further driven the car for about 40 miles to see if it regens but I don't think it did...no dpf light has come on since, the revs are sitting at about 750 and did jump to 1000 for a bit.

Anyone have any ideas what this is? The performance was fine before it went into limp mode but now is cr*p. Could it be the dpf now over 90% blocked and the car cannot regen hence the reduced performance? If so what would my best options be? My Mot is also due end of this month :(

Any ideas guys.

Ok so a little update.....had two people put onto vag come for me..

The first garage had this Bosch system which was in Polish.....and it showed DPF level at 7% but pressure at -1. I went for a drive and it went upto 80% but pressure still at -1.

That garage said it seemed like it is probably the dpf pressure sensor.

Second = went to someone who had official vagcom (not bosch) and he showed me on laptop and it showed dpf at 24%....drove for 30mins and got it down to 6% before his laptop died....

However I still have a lack of power.....how do I confirm this is the dpf pressure sensor but no lights on the dash? Also no faults showing. As above was one P2002 for dpf which was cleared and has not come back for a few days.

Hi, don't know if you resolved this issue but seems similar to problem I have/had,
Injectors were done under recall after total cut out, after this dpf light came on 3 times in two weeks, after only ever coming on twice in 2 years, the third time I hadn't had the time to clear it immediately ending up driving about 15 miles and went into limp mode.
After paying seat £100 for forced re gen it just doesn't run right, can't explain exactly what it is but when in neutral at lights you can feel the engine chugging every so often, lack of power at low revs, and not pulling so well in high gears at low revs.
Ran diagnostics with no error showing, dealer who did injector recall aren't interested at all and couldn't seem to care, unfortunately I have taken decision to sell it, :( just get the feeling it will never be right again, water pump looks like its needs changing and cam belt due for change soon as well.
Just seems funny that a car I had never had a single problem with In just over two years is running like sh!t, after changing injectors..

Yes mines seems exactly the same.....I am heading towards the idea it may be the turbo....my dealer also did not give a twaddle during the injector replacement last week and that made no difference to the problem....

The dpf is doing my head in with always needing regens every two days so need to decide what to do....did get this issue come up in vag com though;

Well don't know if it's good or bad, at least yours is now idicating a fault,
luckily my uncle has a garage and managed to run diagnostics there for me, with no faults showing.
Seats attitude has just annoyed me more so than anything, there is without doubt a problem, and all they will say is they want £50 for diagnostics to tell me there is nothing wrong..
At the end of the day I drive the thing everyday and know its not right, but how do you prove what it is, and then trying to get seat to fix it on top of that is a no go..

It's such a shame because up until month ago ( Injector problem) car had been great and would of bought another one tommorow , but not now, and the more you look on this forum, vw, an Audi forums aswell , it appears more an more apparent of serious problems with injector fails, dpf etc etc

did it ever get diagnosed this. i have a similar problem on mine? my engine light is on and glow plug light flashing. i fitted a turbo actuator because it was giving a constant sensor fault and now the turbo works again, but only when it feels like it. very annoying.
