Can you help me please?

New guy based in Norwich, Norfolk. Have Vag com fully registered. Willing to help!

Hi,

I've just come across your post and see you have VAG COM and I'd like your help with my LCR. I live in Beccles and I'd like to unlock/activate the total closure system on the car to do the windows with the remote, turn off selective unlocking, turn on the interior alarm sensors and the alarm chirp when locking/unlocking the car.

Thanks in advance,

Matt

Hi Matt,

Thanks for your reply.

I've got a 2005 mk1. Norwich, you couldn't be much closer could you.

Would you mind giving me a hand?

Matt.

Wouldn't be a problem, are you in a hurry just that I'm going on holiday tomorrow night for a week.

Also from your wish list I don't believe that you can shut/open the windows on the key fob not unless you have VDS pro (not vagcom) and a bit of programming knowledge falling that there is a flasher that will give you auto windows. Everything else however is very doable.

Excellent, I'm glad they're doable. I'll look into the windows opening and closing with the key fob some more as that's the one I wanted the most.

I'm in no hurry no, before summer would be nice.

Thanks Matt and have a great holiday, going anywhere nice?

Matt.

I know what you mean with the window one the potential downside would be that you side on your keys at a friends house when its raining and you end up with very wet seats.

I'm off to Croatia for a week so yeah looking forward to it. I'll be back on 16th so will be around if you want to pop over on the 17th just PM me your details and we can sort out a time that suits.

Yeah true, wet seats would be a pain. Still really want them though.

I did find this post earlier when I was searching, don't know if it helps Matt?

Have a great holiday.

Thanks.

thats the software I mentioned in an earlier post. Most genuine VCDS (vagcom) users will have usb leads its only the older/cheap knock offs that are serial cables which you need to be able to make the changes required. So yes it is do able but as I've got a usb cable and my mac doesn't have a serial port it does make it impossible for me to do that element of it. As for PM you may want to enable it in your profile.

Oh right, I get you. Thanks for the explanation.

I had a look in my profile and I can't see an option to turn pm's on. Can you tell me how as I thought I had to wait until I'd made 15 posts.

Thanks Matt.

Just out of curiosity do you know how much a dealer would charge to do the full closure windows Matt? I'm guessing it'd be extortionate.
