Yeah, but all your previous post was about APR - I assumed that you must have got something first hand to report, which confused me, because you have a diesel - not tuned by APR

REVO have just announced they are teaming up with a hardware maker for Turbo kits, Engine mounts etc.... Just like APR do with VWR

Not really sure you can put Racingline/VWR (a motorsport Marketing company by their own description) in the same bucket as Kenney Enterprises & Stasis?

Not really the same comparison is it?

I think its a fair comparison, seeing as they are selling similar hardware together.

Do Racingline make stuff then?

I was looking for the interesting bits like the tubular manifold and supercharger kits rather than the rebranded kit that both do (ITG filters etc)

I'll be going with Revo in 3 weeks for my stage 1!!

Really? i am changing to APR due to not getting along with the Revo map.

I would advise anyone thinking of getting one done get thee trial from APR.

Not blowing up there trumpet but it is a very well made map and makes use of all the power availabe at the right time.

I love how your tarnished with being a fanboy if you think anything other than REVO is a good product.

You have to bear in mind whilst VWR might not be in the same league as stasis when it comes to producing hardware, its not just them providing the hardware as APR also develop and produce their own hardware. As a pairing i think they cover the basis more than any other UK company gets close to.

APR can provide

K04 turbo kits(TSI and TFSI)
Intercoolers
HPFP/LPFP kits
Stage 3, 4 and 5 big turbo kits
Supercharger kits
General intakes and custom intakes
Exhausts
Pistons
Rods
In house CNC milling machines to custom make what ever they require
Custom and normal mapping, switchabe though the cruise.

From VWR or their array of hardware sources

AST Suspension products Road and race car spec (widely regarded as one of the top suspension manufacturers)
Bespoke spring rates etc
Anti roll bars
Caparo brakes
LSDs
Engine mounts
intakes
Corner weighting
Geometry
Roll cages
Race car preparation
Pit support for trackdays or motorsport

Thats pretty much a one stop shop for any potential modder to go from nothing to complete animal.

REVO have had to go elsewhere as they are a one trick(software only) pony.

Mork is right Raceingline dont actually make any of there stuff

Thats correct but they do deal in only the top end kit and they have something other places dont. Motorsport knowledge of how all these bits of kit interact with the cars, and what works/what doesnt etc. You dont see them dealing in budget coilovers or cheap brakes, shiny hoses etc. Its all performance based kitthat is proven to work.

Irrelevant of if they produce all the kit, you can drop your car off to VWR/APR now completely standard and get it back as a complete road going trackcar(or pure trackcar) without your car leaving the workshop.

I for one couldnt care less who makes it as long as the end result is good.

But APR can get hold of all that kit.

I do agree that stuff like the intakes and exhausts are re-branded, but thats not an issue as they are only rebranding good kit.

FWIW im not a huge REVO fan, i dont like the way they do business and offer aftersales, but i wouldnt deny that the REVO cars perform at the top of the tuning scene. As said, i very nearly ate humble pie and change my remap to them as there wasnt a better option at the time. I even linked threads on previous pages which show that, But im not blind to see that there other tuning companies in this case APR, but also guys like jabba, R Tec etc who can match everything REVO can do and outperform/offer something different in some areas, all areas or at least match them.

A competitive tuning scene is good for everyone. Just not the REVO fan club because they cant bear the thought of an alternative

Best thing about VWR is i can drop my car off and walk home. The brake kit is amazing, was going to buy one but i really dont need that amount of braking power on mine, i was there when a new batch of the brakes was delivered, was a lovely site.

Does anybody know who makes there LSD's

They are developing a 330mm brake kit on my car as well. They showed me a larger version of the kit they are installing and its pretty impressive. Weighs hardly anything as well. As siad above its a one stop shop. My car is going in with very little on the mod front and ill be picking it back up very heavily modified.

Think it is Quaife and SQS that are the LSD options.

If they did a 5x112 330mm kit that would be ace, Currently looking at DaveB's Not so big brake kit with Porsche calipers

you cant knock the DaveB kits, great value and effective. Mikes 350mm kit is immense. Deakos 312mm kit isnt any good on his Polo though due to the issues with his offset and clearances etc, so it requires BIG spacers so not an option im following.

I would have the VWR kit as I'm happy with my experience of VWR service & after care and the kit is Awesome

Im loving my 996tt DaveB kit and it makes mine even more enjoyable to drive lately.

I had the Nqsbbk Boxter kit before & was also great. Gave me improved handling and weight saving over the Cupra setup

I emailed VWR about a big brake conversion for my motor and didn't even get a response, was a bit surprised to say the least that they didn't even bother to get back to me! Sad times!:(

My point was they both sell the stuff as a one stop shop, thats the comparison, not who make the stuff, but never mind.

Well Just got back from a road trip to Revo to have my Stage1 taken off. and then down to APR to get their stage 1 map put on.

And i am pleased to say i love it.

Guys at revo where really nice about it all.

I Can confirm that on the Pre-facelift mk2 cupra Can have Program Switch, I have 95 Ron 98 Ron, Stock And Valet modes.

All Switchable via the Cruise control.

And they also do haave free upgrades to higher software such as stage1 to stage 2 then up to stage 2+.

Also got a ride in a Stage 3 Leon Cupra and wow it was Quick and felt so smooth.

so there is my opinion i shall be at santa pod for some runs soon and also shall try get it on a rolling road.
