sunday the 25th? sorry mate but we wont be available - its a derbyvags/dicksound photoshoot in west hallam that weekend, the photographers and models are already set
you're welcome to come down though, is it the petrol or diesel cupra you have?
Ive got the Petrol mate and what time does that start could pop by on the way back
'eyyy it'll be good to see another petrol model, i've yet to see on up close
we're not sure of the details yet, its being organised by DerbyVags and we're sort of tagging onto it, but it'll all be on the dicksound page in due time, probably a mid-day to early afternoon thing though
Yeah, I used to go there all the time back when I had the saxo, it’s the 2012 opening party on the first of April isn’t it? As far as I know a lot of people from dicksound are already going down. But its mine and my girlfriend anniversary on the same day so I don’t know if I’ll be there.
All the details about the 25th, the times and that, will be posted on the dicksound page closer to the time, but there are loads of meets and photoshoots planned for the next few months and since you’re not too far away you should pop down mate (and your mate in the formulasport) it’ll be good to see another Cupra too

but show-wise it'l just be vwfestival for me but ill be going in my mk2 golf. After saying the cupra has been for sale for ages it went last night ended up doing a swap though, seems the only way people will do things in this climate.meant mod-wise
Mod-wise I think I’ll stick to what’s left on my “to-do” list - that’ll be a revo stage 1, replace the open cone filter with a panel filter, re-spray the engine cover gloss black, get the lower bumper strip carbon wrapped, maybe change the wheels. But that’s about it.
I’ve been looking into ways to make the re-circ louder, a guy I know with a Octavia VRs has taken the re-circ pipe off completely so you’ve got the air coming into the 007p (well in his case it’s a baileys) then it vents to atmosphere. He’s sealed the end of the other pipe so there’s no vac leak and it definitely sounds a lot louder, but I’ve also been told that can be really damaging. Adam Kellys cousin also has the same car, his is ridiculously loud and sounds fantastic, I’ve not really had chance to speak to him about it but I remember Adam saying it was something to do with the waste gate. Last year you helped me out with all this so I was hoping you’d help again haha

Do you not find it loud enough with an open cone? Panel filter in standard air-box will silence it. If your car isnt mapped then mapping it make them make allot more noise as does the turbo intake pipe. I had a modded airbox on mine and was loud enough for me.
I wouldnt contemplate venting to atmosphere, it mucks the fuelling up on them. You can do it on after market ecu's and possibly the standard one if maf sensor is mapped out.
Swapped my mate for his r32, just fancied a nice standard car so i can pamper the mk2 more

The 007p is really quiet from inside the car, you can only really hear it when the musics down and you dip the clutch to let off revs rather than just hold off the accelerator. From outside its really hard to hear over the exhaust, maybe I’m just not building enough boost though.
