good luck with the sale buddy my 2007 cupra with stage two mods and handling mods was up for £5800 and i got no interest atall really and mine had done 33k its being part exed friday for £5100 and that was the best garage offer i was offered £4500 by several other garges im heart broken but ive got to do it as i need a diesel.

do you think the car is overpriced then mate?
i bought the car in January 2011 for £8500, could it really of lost that much value?

You part ex'in it with all the mods or breaking it first? Shame to see yours go so cheap :( it's a lovely example! What's next?

Also what's next for the topic starter? Loads seem to be selling up!

I'm getting a diesel too mate, at the moment i'm thinking the A4 S-Line 2.0ltr PD170, or the BMW M-Sport 320d - however i'm really indecisive, any suggestions?

with most the mods taking the spacers air filter rear arb and strut brace i must admit i had a huge lump in my throat when doing the deal i nearly couldnt do it as i didnt want to make the change but i need a mortgage and to get out the folks house, next is a mk1 leon fr tdi should help me save some money with any luck.

im doing two things that go completly against everything i believe in getting a 5 door which is a diesel  im never going to come to terms with owning a diesel.

we can be 5-Door diesel owners together mate

2k?! thats ridiculous - your car is in beautiful shape

i dont think it is atall personally as i think these cars are awesome but realistically they have lost so much value thanks to fuel price etc and these cars only being wanted by certain people that tend not to have the money to spend or insure one.
i looked on the garges website my car went to and its up for £6495 now which i still dont think they will get for it even though the car is immaculate i could be wrong though.

i think the thing to look at is not how much your set to lose but the fun you had in it in the time owning it.
i could have kept mine another year but i think it would be worth a whole lot less in a years time.

i thought that, plus the petrol was starting to kill me - i was putting £60 a week into the car, i moved out too which was another stress on my finance, traveling back to see my parents was costing me £5 each time in fuel, i just cant justify that

 I wondered what the chuff that was all abut in some of your other pics!

I would stick with a black that ties in with the rest of the black on the car. Maybe matte black to match the B-pillars and rear diffuser?

that matte black sort of looks odd though, it doesn't quite match the grey in the bumper. so i was thinking more carbon

After advertising the car for £6000 and getting no interest i've decided to keep it, having bought the car this time last year for £8500 i'm not willing to lose £2500 (plus the money i've spent modifying the car) in a little over a year

So - time for the show season of 2012 to begin

The market sucks at the mo, mines been up for ages (on and off, kept changing my mind) had loads of interest but all complete and utter time wasters!

what you got in store?

ridiculous isn't it?
i've got it for sale on pistonheads, gumtree, eBay, facebook on different pages & groups, this forum, saxp forum, derbyvags forum - i've had a few offers for swaps but apart from that nothings come of it.

this year mate, GTi-Springfest to start, then MFN, GTi-festival, GTi-International. what about yourself?
