Yeah, I know about the indicator thing, but the golf had a checkbox on the MFD which looked slightly more convenient than waggling indicator stalks about :p. I'm certain that this option isn't present in my MFD menus.

Mines an early MY2010 FR, the menu option could well have appeared on more recent models?

Looking at sorting this on mine as soon as I dig out my cable!

Out of interest has anybody tried engaging cruise control whilst the large speed readout is displayed?

My mates Scirocco displays the speed the cruise has been set at where the temperature is at the bottom when engaged and I was wondering if this did the same, or if more fiddling will be required?

I've seen the option to enable cruise display in VCDS but haven't tried it (yet), might give it a bash tomorrow. It's in the adaptions I think!!

Did you take the car for a drive once you activated it? I was wrong when I said that it takes the place of the temperature, it actually takes the place of the trip counter in the bottom left of the screen. From what I have found out it only shows the cruise speed when the vehicle is moving, reverting back to the trip counter when stationary.

I really need to find my cable to try a few of these new VCDS discoveries out :)

Yip, took the car out for a spin but there was no change to the MFD, on all screens.

works a treat!

Amazing that all of these available options are not just enabled as standard? Propbably lots of other treats hidden in the control modules somewhere!

Nice!

i installed the one that came in the cd VAG-COM Release 409-1, and when i clicked on it it wont work, so i downloaded VCDS Beta 11.10, and yet still nothing :(

409 will not work with windows 7 and 409 cable is not compatible with V 8 software and upwards.

If you are not using a genuine cable and run the official software you can brick your cable.

I can't recall the exact menu or option but there is another thing you need to enable (or disable..?) on one of the MFD menus to get the digital speedo to appear..sorry I can't be more specific mate but don't have my car handy to check. Would think it should be the same on a Supercopa..
