UPDATE

The engine bay as it stands now:

IMAG0047-1.jpg

I've decided to re-locate the DV again, for visual purposes. Doesn't really change anything performance wise, but looks cool [B)] Oh and those BREMI's are off as explained above, back to the old push down ones for now.

Still need a set of coil packs, should be returning these to GSF this week sometime, should I go for the generic push down ones or should I order a tried and apparently test Hitachi bolt down set from SERE?!

Now I've been researching and apparently Hitachi have stopped producing these coil packs and there last batch was marked 'E' ....... these now have been replaced with BERU

i got some packs from eurocarparts and they seem fine... they do fit more snugly than the ones that came out, maybe they have changed the design?

honestly, i REALLY have to pull to get them out lmao..

Cheers mate. I might just get the standard push down ones..... but I do like the look of the bolt down ones...

Thanks mate, it's come a long way eh, after so much time, money, effort, not to mention blood sweat and tears literally!

As usual mo, probably one of the cleanest looking mk1 cupra in brum, question I wanted to ask are you getting rid of your sai , n112 etc

Thanks Pete, I will eventually remove the SAI and the N112, weathers now turned from bad to worse and space on the drive is becoming limited, it will be done mate, we've done the hardest part, the rest is just removing / pulling apart and plugging in a resistor.

Was at my mates garage today, had to raise the car a little more, getting a bit tired of going over speed bumps at 5mph! Also I replaced the 8000K blue HID's with 6000K HID's which are just right! anyway, while I was there, I thought I'd take some snaps of my baby and.... my mates BEAST:

Catch him! IF YA CAN!!!!!!!!!! ;) Awesome number plate.

This is probably one of the best car's I've ever driven, insanely fast, the reaction it gets every time (like once or twice in a year) he takes it out is mad, everyone loves the Cossy.

I've owned and driven some insane car's in the past, nothing compares to the Escort Cosworth, it's a complete different animal, just raw performance. No electrical jargon to stop you from driving.

Hey Jimmy!, thanks for the kind comments, my car doesn't get much love here to be honest, I've seen bangers get more attention here, guess it's my name ;) I've helped so many people, gave so much advice, my idea's have been stolen I'd say but still no love for Mo's ride. Maybe I should start again, use a different name and just change the alloys as most do and get some recognition.

I think I need a better camera, phone camera's do suck, glad your happy mate, the Milltek set-ups are known to be quiet mate, it's one of their key selling points. I'm in two states of mind with the wheels, keep them and refurb them in white or buy some 18's, I'll let you know if I decide to sell

Spent another hour trying to adjust the coil overs today, it's tricky to get these right, I'm raising them a bit more as I'm going to have a loaded car soon enough on a long trip

i use a steel ruler Mo to measure the gap each side, same for fronts, do you get any creaking/cloncks when turning ?

Cheer's mate, I actually use the same method myself!, but I'm having an odd problem, they are both equal in measurements, yet one side is still higher ?

Car's booked in at Stealth Racing for tomorrow morning, going to get the custom Stage 2 map fine tuned to accommodate the new mods and new clutch. Hopefully, fingers crossed, aiming for more BHP this time.
