Are you gona take the side bump strips off ?? Also can you polish up your wheels ??

Hi Aaron. Sorry for delay. I may C/C the stripd but will certainly not be removing them- Too much work involved!

I think the TH-Mono wheels can be polished up but compomotive do not offer this finish from factory.

Also, after hunting for an intake system to spruce the bay up, I started talking to Nicolas (Nexus_French) on here who offered some great advice and pointed me in the direction of a green cotton forced system. Sadly, these are no longer available so I was forced to look elsewhere!

A link which followed a link which followed a link (you get the picture) led to the Dbilas website and the next thing you know, an order was placed with regal-autosport and i'm currently waiting for a flowmaster intake system to arrive. This will also be upgraded with a flowtec manifold in time which is also included in the picture.

That'll add a few horses I bet!

Pushing 400bhp before I know it :D hahaha

The flowtec manifold is quoted on the dbilas website to add 15hp!! No idea if this is true mind and appears optimistic in all honesty.

I might have it RR after fitting the new intake to see what the figures are. I know it won't be huge or vastly interesting but would be nice to know.

Dbilas stuff is class, had a flowmaster on my 1.8 corsa sri back in the day, looked so good and could actually feel a difference! Few mates had the inlet mani's too but I could never bring myself to spend the money on one haha good work mate.

You going to get a 4 branch mani for it aswell? Engine bay in that pic looks class. Love a nice n/a engine with a cheeky 4 branch etc!

They appear to be really popular with the vauxhall boys and they all comment on good results. I'm glad you have a positive experience of it :D

The 4 branch does look super cheeky haha, tempting indeed. I've contacted my local longlife but they only take manifold work on during the winter......strange. But will strongly consider it.

What kind of opinion did your friends with the inlet mani have? They look super tasty but at £800 :confused::blink::cry::confused: (sums it up well).

As Cupra.al said any news on the air?
Dbilas stuff is the nuts

that bay looks pretty awesome i bet that will make a nice difference no updates on the air yet?

Really looking forward to the Dbilas product to arrive. Regal stated 5 days for item to arrive from Germany and they will send it to me a.s.a.p. So expect an update next week with regards to that :)

Air....... :censored: Luke at plush is great in all honesty, my e-mail inbox is full from him giving me constant updates on the situation. Bagyard are the sole party responsible for the delay! I contacted Eddie from Bagyard HQ last week kicking up a fuss asking for a update on the situation and stating that i'm considering canceling if the wait is any longer. He later replied telling me that the struts will be shipped end of the week (friday just passed) so should expect delivery sometime soon. But i'm not holding my breath and if there are no struts by September then I'm ordering a set of air-lift struts.

General consensus was not really worth the cash unless turboing the 1.8 lump but they did make a difference, there is someone making replica ones for the 1.8sri now though, at half the price!

They seem popular with the 1.4 and 1.2 people though, get good gains on the 1.4's, one lads was knocking on 115-120hp with cams, inlet, exhaust mani and a map, they are 90 standard. The cams were only reprofiled standard ones too.

Loved the flow master though:

'Blast from the past' just don't start filling up on me you big nonce haha.

Replicas!!!????

Thanks for the info scott, always handy having an actual perspective from a nondbilas representative :). I think you always have to be aware that the money spent/power gain ration on a N/A car will never be the same as a charged engine so can't expect too much.

Some impressive stats for a 1.4 and not exactly breaking the bank either. Man i'm so tempted right now just to phone regal and order the inlter mani.

Dbilas system has been fitted :)

Images will be uploaded tomorrow when the manifold cover has been refitted after painting (waiting for piant to dry).

Had a few issues with fitting as the design of the Dbilas system makes it a case of bolting onto the front end (pictured above). But the design on my series ibiza which is the 86ps engine (not sure about others such as the 100ps) made this impossibe without drilling new holes etc. I'm not one for crazy drilling so decided to use the original screws to mount the box and everything is okay :).

The oil breather pipe is also too short to connect to the box (as designed) so made a make-shift filter out of an old cloth and tape for the time hahahah which will be replaced tomorrow when I can collect a longer pipe.

After a quick test-drive and realising that I had connected the pipe from the dbilas box to the throttle body the wrong way round....ooops!, I can state that the car sounds a lot better providing a deeper and throatier noise, and it appears to pull a lot stronger through the revs :)
