Ive been thinking about running the 8's now on the same or smaller gap as current. Cheap enough to try.

There pretty cheap, i got them form the Nissan dealer for €7 inc VAT each, I also spoke to NGK and they recommend .028" and if i had issues go down to .024", needless to say i went straight down to .024.

The guys over on vwvortex are also recommending 8's for street setup.

Looking at it, you cant get copper core 8 hear range plugs, they have to be iridium. BKR8EIX. About 5 quid a plug on sparkplugs.co.uk

Id run 8EIX at standard gap rob. People who have been trying these are using high octane fuel on the whole.

I run WMI, so does Rob iirc, I was surprised about the egt's though.

Yes, no N75 (haven't used an N75 for years!). From what I understand - it holds the wastegate shut to bring boost on fast, then controls the pressure via the solenoid. It doesn't create more boost, just makes the most of what pressure you set it to. No I don't believe it works the turbo any harder, just uses the pressure more efficiently. This device should be able to compensate for boost dropping off on your car yes.

Turbosmart have some videos which show you setting up the e-boost 2, same thing goes for the e-boost street:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CTWCbjL2M8c&feature=player_embedded

Boost correction is covered towards the end of the video.

Dragging this back up, sorry.

I am going to remove my N75 control and just use an MBC(have the Forge MBC) soon, i plan to run my hybrid at 1.6bar for as long as i can, at the moment it is not achieving the airflow the 2280 wheel can supposedly flow, i can only put this down to the actuator, i have all the supporting mods so there is not reason why it is not doing the business.

I have some questions for you.( if you don't mind)

1.How have you removed your N75, i.e have you just left it plugged in electonically but removed the plumbing?
2.What is part throttle like or is it all or nothing boost?
3.The N75 have 3 ports, my MBC has 2, did should i just cap the extra connection(the one of the TIP)

Thanks

Due to some personal financial issues I have had to sell my SEM inlet manifold and purchase a 2nd-hand S3 manifold (on ebay). I don't think it was doing much on my car and is an expensive part, so I had to sell it. As of right now it is off my car, packed up and gone!

Anyway, I'm looking for the bracket and plastic cover that bolts onto the front of the LCR/S3 manifold, circled in this picture below:

If anyone has these spare or knows the part number please let me know. Also because of my current situation I will not be doing any trackdays etc. due to the cost.

OK so I have got the new 2.0T FSi coil packs now and a new set of NGK BKR7E plugs gapped to 0.040, just waiting on the INA spacers and then I'll fit them and give my feedback. They do seem very robust and well made compared to the old 1.8T push down coils.

Not gonna try them without the holders first?

They still fit just stick up more and only one of the sealing rings goes into the valve cover.

I still think you should do logs with OEM gaps and coils, swap the coils, run for 100 miles or so then re-log then do the same for the .040" gap to get a true idear of what, if anything, these coils are doing.

Blocks 020 for correction
Block 003 for timing curve
EGT if possible?

Ive been following the thread on Vortex, as you probably have as well, and im not sure about some of the data theyve posted, back to back runs of swapped hardware never does it for me. It needs time to adapt imo.
