Another update, just been speaking to joe at jbi about the tx autosport intercooler kit for the lcr. We are both working together to produce a full kit that will keep the fogs. He seems a nice guy and is very keep to do this. So it looks like im keeping my kit and on the weekend i will make a start. So in the next week or so the tx autosport kit will be a very competative kit in the market.
i will be fitting the new bonnet tonight :)
Thats all for now

evening all. been hard at it today and not long finished. i managed to fit my fog lights back on the car. however it was a right pita. so the fogs can be fitted with the tx autosport fmic and nothing else is needed todo so. i bought 2 new 90 degree bends but didnt need them.
anyway heres a poor quality pic but you get the idea

Thats dedication there mate, a late finish on a Friday night :) Shame you didnt get a chance to get a pic of the pipework in daylight, as I'm sure a lot of people with the TX would like to know how you managed to squeeze all of it in.

squeeze is the correct term to use lol. its very tight and the bumper is only sat in place and not fixed. more pics to come tomorrow. the back of the fogs are tight against the pipe work so i may space the fog lights out 5mm and cut 5mm off the side grilles.

Cool - will be good to see. Mind you, if you have alreaddy got the 90 deg bends, how come you didnt use them as surely it would have made it less of a tight fit?

Also, been meaning to ask someone about this, but what do you use for the blacks/plastics/non-silicone pipework in the bay. I really want to give my bay a clean, but want to make sure that I have got the right bits and pieces to clean things with. I have noticed that there is a fair amount of greasy residue round my inlet mani too, wonder if there is a rocker leak somewhere... same again for degreasing the bay, any tips?

I didnt use the 90s because i hated the tight angle they cause and were starting to kink. As for cleaning your bay. I always start by degreasing the engine bay with a product called gunk. As for plastics, rubber ect i use megs wet look tyre gel or auto glym bumper care. Both these are great products and will have your bay looking better than new.

Cheers for the tips. Heard of the gunk product - guess you just have to be careful when washing it off I guess. I already have both the megs tyre gel and the the bumper care for external use, so will have to give it a shot in the bay. Been buggin me for ages how its a bit skanky looking!!! Hoping to get some time tomorrow to give the car a much needed clean, and hopefully I can get round to having a go in the bay.

fantastic paint work, what do you use to polish it etc? I tend to use a lot of meguiars stuff and recently invested in a clay bar kit which has become my new best friend
