Right i actually give up. This morning before i went to get it pressure tested i had a little look under the bonnet i found a another small crack in a hose which i can know finally say ive found the problem with the fluttering 100% luckily id ordered a new replaced forge pipe on the weekend so that should be here soon. as for my no power situation i unplugged the MAF like people said and drove to the place with it unplugged i had my power back so i was over the moon thinking its just a new MAF , got to the place and he plugged VAGCOM in and it was showing signs of an intermitant problem with the MAF and also a -10 boost leak ie the pipe. i thort BINGO all sorted we took the car for a drive and do you think it drove the same when i did in the morning? no it was back to no power whats so ever and the computer logs show'd nothing wrong with the MAF also. After we go back he looked over the logs and found that there must be a massive boost leak somewhere because the valve was requesting 1.4bar but only reciving .9 on full boost. He pressure tested it and found that one of the jublee clips had pinched the pipe around the back of the intercooler (outter view) so we did that back up and did another pressure test and all seem'd fine. Took it for a drive again and there was no change and it was still showing signs of a big boost leak. So all in all ive got a 1.8 leon with no turbo basically atm untill its rebooked back in for a good days work of looking over it , any advice? and sorry for the essay! nathan

i feel your pain mate :( i'm having boost control issues as well , did a boost leak test , and found no leaks at all , i'm hoping it's the n249 cause i've changed everything else , check the reading of the n75 valve from seat specialist cost me £60 for them just to check it :(. i've been following this thread to see if you any closer to solving the problem, feel like i want my car back to standard :(

Yeeer well ive got a day off wednesday and im going to spend the day on the thing because i dont really wanna fork out for a days work of looking forsomething. i think its not a major boost leak anymore because we did find one and i still think its MAF/N Valve related. But he said that the seem to be all fine on the computer and it seems to be a major leak? Im going to follow all the FMI hoses and the only other mod is the TIp. Ill try my mates N valves which are new and MAF again wednesday if not im getting a desiel cupra .... i joke! lol

Sam, how about posting those logs so others can have a look? Might be something in there that you've missed...

Today whilst replacing some more pipes with Forge ones i found another very long split. Ive replaced it and its still the same. I reset the battery just to see if it made a differnce and nothing buttt , is this normal if i disconnect the battery and put it back on everytime i do connect the (neg) back on theres a blowing noise from what i think is the fuel injection rail is this normal? like the fuel injectors pumping fuel? or could it be to do with my boost/power loss!

Hmm might just be the fuel pump priming, it does this when you open the driver's door (obviously with the battery connected). Check all the hoses around there too, there's a vacuum hose which goes to the fuel pressure regulator, the little cylinder at one end of the fuel rail.

I still think you've got another split hose somewhere tbh.

lol its sorted!!!! right what a idiot we all feel and i dont know how its happend but it has. the N75 was on the wrong way round its solved the power loss. I dont know how because b4 we changed it to test my mates i took him for a run in it to show him what was wrong and it hadnt been touch ever when i had owned it. So inbetween the N75 and 4boost leaks its sorted , except the fluttering is back louder and ever i really give up tbh although its not affecting performance its an embarrising sound! Ive checked the DV and changed springs and its still there!
