Is h7r the only size to fit ibiza? I have reflector style headlights not projector. Thinking of fitting some hids soon, loved them before.
Cheers

H7R and 5000K is the best choice for low beam on a twin headlight Ibiza if you want more light but dont want to draw too much attention.

H4 Bi-xenon is required for the single headlight Ibiza

To those who have fitted 5000k HIDs, do you get the slightest blue twinge in the emitted light, like you'd find in OEM HID kits on Range Rovers, BMWs and Audis?

I think 6000k is too blue for me, but would still like something with a little bit of blue in it.

Yes, the light on the road is pure white, but if you look at the bulb you can see the slightest bit of blue. This is a very accurate pic of my H7R`s:

Im sorry to say it, but your all wrong! 6K is the best

I wouldnt say mine where 'blue', they do have a slight hint but not as bad as some people make 6K out to be.

This is the closest picture if got to what they look like..

Thanks for your pictures guys.

Where did you get your 6000k HIDs from Mick? It just seems like some manufacturers' 6000k HIDs are "bluer" than another etc.

There was somebody on here who had a 6000k HID kit and it failed an MOT because they were too blue, that's what I don't want!

Such a difficult choice!

It seems to me that colours vary between bulb makers, I`ve seen some that are supposed to be 6k, but look more like 8k... and vice-versa... and I`ve seen 4.3k`s that look much yellower than mine.

I think that buying hid bulbs without seeing them on first will give you an idea of the colour, but maybe not exact.

Oh, and 5K is best :p Although yours are quite white Mick.

I got them from Ebay mate, I cant actually remember the seller either :( Wish I could, these seem to be a proper set of H7Rs that actually stop the glare lol.

Ive never heard of 6K's failing an MOT, but like Neo said it could just have been a different seller, different bulb thing.

Go 6K's, you know you want to :p Nah, just try get as many proper examples like actual pictures and compare. I wouldnt just compare using the little diagram thing they use to advertise the different temps on ebay.

Yeah you seem to have lucked in there, nice bulbs by the look of it! Although it looks like your drivers` side is either slightly too high or slightly too far to the right... could just be the pic though.
I agree about the reference guides too... they are WAY off!

You post jacker! :rifle:

Think its just the picture mate, I noticed that myself. I measured the distance from the wall etc after I fitted them and was ok, and it also went through MOT ok in Sept

Dont shoot! :givein:

Me and my mate had the same car with h7 6000k's on from different companys and his were a lot bluer than mine. On a side note mine also went thru mot with no headlight washers or projector lenses or anything, just reflector style headlights (standard e46)

Hi mate. to be honest I can`t remember if I marked them correctly!
I think both wires coming from the car were black, and those are the ballast wires with the clear plastic ends on.

Either way you won`t blow anything if you connect them the other way, they just won`t work. I`ve fitted a few hid kits and 50% of the time I get the wires the wrong way round because they are rarely logically coloured!
