I shoved an Octavia Mk1 VRS (petrol) backbox on my old Octavia TDI... it made it no louder, can't say it made any power difference... but if you stood behind the car and listened to it rev up, it made like a sweet rattly growl as you took your foot off the pedal and the revs died down again.

I was quite impressed!

I do 400 miles a week in my cupra which is pretty low and did same mileage in the white fr which was lower at the front with a lower hanging undertray. Just depends if your man enough or not :p Ive had 3 different cars, all on coilies and done that mileage for 3 years haha

Well as I am not a man doesn't apply to me! No I live in teh countryside and have to drive over a cattle grid every day, when a another SCN member drove to my house to deliver some bits to me took him 10 minutes to drive over the cattle grid up the lane I live takes me 3 minutes and I have to do this 4 times a day so would be stupid to have the car as low as him!

Be interesting to see what you think the sound difference would be doing back box Alex. Milltek sounds nice but yes waaaaay to expensive for what it is I only got mine as it was really cheap.

Im affraid the thread may go a tad quite with progress for awhile people.. Im at college and my days are stupidly long , dont have any energy really! Start at 9 and finish at half 8.. So with all the hours im not makeing alot of money :( ..

I need too decide what too do with the car.. I quite famous chef has spotted me and may be offering me a job in his michelin star restaraunt (Dream job) at the end of the year so i will be moveing too cheshire if i get it and working more hours than you can imagine.. So there may be no point in the car tbh even if i am makeing great money..

Not sure there will be point in a little wepon eaither as i wont be getting any days off a week, + ill have rent and bills too pay.. Oh no!

Wow great news though but you will need to spend your money on something fun too though!
I slightly understand I work 10 hour days unlike most people I know who do 8 and I have other responsibilities at home so end up just going to bed early most nights as am shattered!
I also have to move out as well so cars mods are slightly on hold until i can figure out what I can afford a month but you will be earning top dollar unlike me. Surely you are better of keeping a cheap to run diesel now more than ever then?
