Nice rims Brummy, you'll be joining me in the weekly wheel wash and chemical polish garage? I've just got myself a cheap set of 16s ( free) to put some snow tyres on and being a cheapskate, figued i'd rather polish them up by hand than pay to get them refurbed ...... i fear a winter of pain and suffering

lol....For the usage my car gets (as Im usually out in the van five days a week, more like six when it gets busy on the xmas run in) the rims would just be out gathering sh1te, so i may as well run with either the A's back on or if i decide to sell them, Ive got the original GTi rims or a set of MIM 1900's with a decent dish on, which ar stripped ready for doing whatever with.
May as well look after the Porka rims seeing as they've cost me a few sheckles, eh..

Yeah i guess so - i'm being a little less fussy about mine, 16s means taller profile tyre which means more to bounce off kerbs in December. Last year was the last time I tackle winter with RWD, 240 horses and summer tyres. Only polished these up cos they were looking a bit scabby, that and a morbid fascination with seeing how shiny I can get stuff. Feel like i've fallen off the OCD wagon a bit of late so nice to have a project in. 12 hours so far and two wheels are just about right, the other two are apparently in better condition - i.e. they haven't been skimmed over a garage floor wheel face down

i pretty much did all that with the Borbets before i ended up getting them powdercoated .
really should have just got them polished.
