Yeah, sorry man, I meant if you decided that you wanted to repaint them you can give him a shout. He's worked on more callipers than anyone I know and he's always happy to help.

Good job, looks great, wish I had the guts to do something similar.

Many thanks for this guide. It's very helpful; this is really quite a straightforward job. If I can do it, anyone can ;)
A note for the less brave: it's a really forgiving technique. I didn't do a great job of getting the old lacquer off because I didn't want to destroy the Brembo decal. Even so, after a few coats of lacquer, the looked pretty good. Close up scrutiny and they're not perfect, but from a foot away or more, they look ten times better than they did.

Photos when I earn the privilege...

My plan was to do the same once I'd made a total mess of them;)
I'm as surprised as anyone at the outcome!

I took more care getting the lacquer off around the lettering but when it came to wet & dry, I just went over the whole thing - If anything it cleaned up the lettering before the new lacquer went on. :)

I reckon it took me about 3 hours in total, but I wasn't in any kind of rush and that includes the time it took me to jack up, axle stands and get the wheels off (which I'd never done before). That's for both front brakes.
It really is amazingly easy with this guide to get them looking infinitely better.

I would guess so, but then I picked up cheap ass lacquer from Halfords and it was OK...

Did mine a couple of weeks back, but forgot to take any before and after shots  But needless to say, its pretty much as the guide says. Even with the one coat on, it looks miles better. I did 4 coats and they looked great. Next time will get some paint to touch up some spots that had gone down to the metal.
