I had to change the port in VDS options to com4 even though my laptop only has 1 port lol.

I used the boot disc thats on this thread that was fixed to have a baud rate of 9960.

There is a guy on TDIclub who is going to try crack it........not sure if he is all talk.....but i'll keep checking his progress.

will be borrowing a mates laptop tomorrow and try it out, as mine doesnt have serial, but i do have a pcmcia to serial card, however mine also has no pcmcia card but a mates has...

I decided to go for the KVW100 for 25 quid which does the same thing and no faffing with ECU coding/cables/DOS etc.

That's sick. I'm well buying one of those bad boys !

Managed to do mine also now! The PCMCIA adapter does not work so found an old laptop with onboard serial port

good luck to him coding the windows, its not possible without using VDC pro or a KVW module.

also... RS4 discs will not fit your hubs, sorry to burst your bubble.

But the TT gearknob will! lol I have a new s3 one on mine

3 Button remote also... please tell me how he does that as i have a few kicking about but dont know the coding if at all possible

I've got the necessary gear in Wolverhampton if thats of any use to anyone? It's not a CANBUS lead though, so it doesn't work with the very latest cars.

By the way, the three codes don't work independently. They are redundant copies of the same thing. They all operate all four windows. If you change one, nothing happens. Change two, all windows move. Change three, all windows move.

However, there is a version of the convenience module that requires five codes to be entered. One to activate, then one each for the windows, so that can be done as independent windows. So far my Toledo is the only one I've seen that has it, but there must be other cars.

Should do, I've already done two mark 1's. As long as they didn't update the convenience module before they changed to the mark 2 then you should be fine.
