I bet not many on here remember the early days of the Mk4, when Fen & Rage were trying to outdo each other in the TDI power stakes (things have come a
long way since then mind) - I remember one of them making their own improved air intake, have vague recollections of dual lengths corrugated hose, and I'm sure woodscrews were used somewhere
Andy (cpufreak) did something similar that I recall was
help in place with hundreds of cable ties, and Ian (driveforward) experimented with bits of tumble dryer hosing & adaptors
A little while after, the PD160 was launched, and I think Tom's (TomB ?) mum bought a Cupra TDI and he put some photos up - and that's when we first spotted the larger intake.
I always wondered if Seat read about the "development work" on here first and that's what prompted the larger intake.....
Buy one and measure it
