Damn, I thought I had it bad.. Is £640 with 2 years no claims? I damn well hope so.. I plan on keeping my beezer for a couple of years, so it shouldnt be that bad..

Tell me about it, they see us coming, suposedly, Direct line give out some good discounts, you know, to reel you in, and if you phone and ask for the online discount or 1 year nc bonus, they will give it to you..

My cheapest quote is with Quinn direct at £1900ish.. So if I put down a £1000 deposit, I will only pay around £900 in monthly payments.. This will help save up for mods..

For some reason anytime I try Direct Line they say they're unable to provide cover - never tried ringing them though so that might make a difference as I guess their website uses a strict set of criteria and they can be more flexible on the phone.

£640 with 3 years no claims. I'm with Quinn as well - though car insurance is Northern Ireland is always more expensive cos we're apparently a bunch of rowdy lunatics!

Hello mate, My first Seat was a 1.4 chill at £1700. I bought a cupra last year so this years premium with 2yrs no claim, fully comp, no other drivers £1200.
Use Adrian flux. they are completly mod friendly. i ve advised them about my K04 coversion to something like 270bph and they quoted an extra £200. Result.
Look forward to the pics. :p

Bloody Hell.. Fully Comp, thats not bad is it..

Yeah, I'll give them a whirl, Although, I'm not into the whole mod the engine on my first car thing.. But, I'm into exterior mods.. Thanks for the heads up mate.. :D

Yeah, Its the same with me on the direct line website, but I think it'll be worth a call if they are offering discounts here there and everywhere..

I think Quinn have sense, they must insure young drivers knowing how bloody brilliant we are LMAO! ;)

Haha!! Its the same in manchester mate, I have been quoted at my dads address in wigan £1900 compared to the £2400 at my address.. Its only 5 mins away!! Manchester is as rough as a tramps nutsack though so that might be why [:@] :banned:

i was with quinn for my first two years, the reason they are cheaper than others is because they specialise in insuring young drivers. bear in mind though that after two years of being a named driver with them, there renewal qoute for the same policy again was £996. i did a qoute on gocompare and admiral came up cheapest, this was with my own policy and the 2 years named driver discount i had gained from quinn. so a saving of hundred quid on my own policy cant be bad :)

So thats your yellow cupra? I have seen you on other threads, that looks rather tasty! If you dont mind me asking, How much is your insurance on that? That must leave you with a sore bottom..

without making this an insurance thread.

Yeah thats mine in my avatar, i will upload a readers ride very soon. its my second cupra as someone wrote my last cupra off.

Oh right, I always wondered why they were the cheapest lol.

Yeah, that would be great, It would be good to have a read... I bet you were gutted about your first cupra wasn't you? Did your first one look like the one you have now?

I wanted to ask somone this actually.. Right..

Can someone drive my car with my consent? He has a full licence, but he isnt insured? I would be in the passenger... Is that legal?

As far as I'm aware that is completely illegal. One website said:
You are guilty of the offence of permitting the vehicle to be used by an uninsured driver and face a licence endorsement of 6–8 points and a fine.

So not only will he get done, so will you.

If you happen to come across a passenger side wing, please let me know! Pref in black of course...

Nice colour aswell, doubt you'll find a wing in the right colour?
