Nothings ever bloody simple!

Looking for different prices for pads and discs. I am definately going to upgrade my pads and discs on the front and probably stay standard on the back.

However looking at some websites they were saying that the disc size was 288x25mm not 312mm and others were saying vice versa......whats the script with that??

Am i going to have to contact the dealers and ask for sizes according to my car specifically?

Ok cheers for that 312x24/25 it'll be then cheers

Whats the back disc sizes?

See when changing the back discs is it the case of just bolting off and bolting the new ones on like the front or is it more complicated due to handbrake etc?

Has anyone done a guide on fitting discs?

discs are the easy part.... calipe off with the 2 guide bolts, they are allen key fitment

slide the caliper off, may need persuading, undo the disc retaining screw, clean the hub, apply copper grease to the hub, refit disc refit caliper.... simples, make sure you clean the discs first with brake cleaner to get the stuff off they package them in to stop rust.

careful on the retining screw they strip the head easily on these

Take it thats the same for back and front? Sounds easy enough I have changed pads myself all round on it before so that seems like the hardest part anyway.

Probably get a fluid change done after these are fitted as well as i dont think its ever been done, also think my handbrake can do with being a little tighter so i'll send that into my wee bros work and get it done on the cheap.

Is the rears 232x9?

Think i'll go with the CRN grooved and ds2500's if i can afford to splash on them

you may get the rear discs off without the need to remove the caliper mate, more room with them only being 9mm thick.

yeah 232x9mm for the rears.... mintex rear discs and pads on the bay for 40quid iirc

id let the pros do the fluid change, much easier than diy pressure bleeding.

change the fluid to motul rbf600 aswell.

plenty of copper grease on the pd backs aswell mate, stops any squealing.
