See When I fill up with around an indicated 10 or so miles left till death it costs me around £36ish... Which is onbviously less than 36 litres? Making my tank right small.

I think i'm probably about to hit the red beep and i've done around 390 miles.

I know that my 1.2 has a 40ltr tank but often takes more without venting. On one of my old cars i had to replace the sensor that cuts the fuel off when the tank was full as it kept clicking off after about £15 going in. Have you had anyone look at the tank, to see if they can tell you what size it is? (I would have thought it should have a part number/ identification on it some where)

thats interesting. I.ll look into that. Having said that on my old corsa you couldn't put the pump in the hole. To to get fuel in you had to stand back and fire from a distance without the pump in the hole. Lol

 My mates old corsa could get the pump in but then it got stuck and had to pretty much put both feet on the car and pull to get it to come out.

I just confused myself  the nozzle on the pump reacts to back pressure in the pipe to cut the fuel off, so i dont know what that sensor actually cuts off but it had to be replaced as there was a error

never taken tank to empty, but was initially getting about 58 to 62 mpg according to the car's computer, then had it serviced and now getting 56 to 60! That's mainly motorway driving in commuter traffic (I do a 30 mile run up the M3 every day), it's a bog standard 2002 1.9 TDI sport.

Managed to get 404 miles out of 40ltrs in my Cupra TDI this week. It took some serious discipline, but I just had to make that 400 mark.

Around about 250 a tank when very cold outside and going back and from work (only 5 miles away). For longer runs, get around 290 miles per tank. I have a Remapped Ibiza FR Petrol.

A New Record!!!
443 miles from a full tank! And from the image you can see the needle isn't even at the bottom yet, maybe could have got 10 more? Who knows ...
Not bad from a 1.2 that badly needs a service!
And before y'all ask how I managed such high millage....simple... I stuck to the speed limits.
