Unless you arent ultimately concerned about speed, or you plan on turboing a r32, I wouldnt recommend one, cant see one being much faster, if any than your beeza. My mate has one and it gets left for dead.

Supercharger - almost bolt on and a stage 1 kit will give about 320bhp for less than half the price of going the turbo route on the R (especially if you fit it yourself).

how much outlay is that though for "only" 320hp?

Sorry to read your selling up Ash:(

:wtf: £4800 for an extra 80bhp

wtf indeed. And it still wouldnt be all that quick after all that money. Think with the r32, going BT and kicking out 550hp is the only mod thats any value for money. But thats still 10k which is alot of dough.

I dont want it to be quicker than the Ibiza! The fact it's 4wd and can USE all the power it has is a bonus! The Ibiza spins most of it away!

i dont think the point with R32's are to have something thats ground breaking fast (because turbos cant be touched), but to have more of a cruiser that has a bit of poke when needed, and for the rest of the time, a beefy sounding engine

I think they're quick enough! 0-60 in 6 seconds - remap them get a bit more. Can't be that bad!

true, but hes only young, and all youngsters want the same thing, or so I think. But then there were some lads who were still more interested in footie and video games at secondary than girls :cartman:

I'm 21 - not 17! And yes I want power, I presume you do too? hence why you went from your Ibiza to a K1?

Sorry to read your selling up Ash:(

Wanna buy it fella? :)

dare i say it i think up to 120mph i think ash's ibiza is well capable of holding its own against a 350bhp leon.... all the torque and trust me iv raced many much hgher bhp cars then my ibiza and beat most of them, truth is there realy fas and unless you get something mental or spend lots moddin a car you wil struggle to beat one :) some people may argue but thats just my 2p :)

Can't believe your car is up for sale Ash! Good luck with the sale and I hope you find a great car to replace it with :)

I'd love an R32....the noise and looks beat most cars out there, and who cares if it can't keep up with Scoobys n Evos, it's all about what you want in a car and not what it can beat

I agree, I dont know how much torque the beeza is running, but I can imagine it being similiar to my 360lbft and considering beezas are much lighter I think it should keep up nicely. But then at the same time, I reckon the beeza as it stands now will also be faster than the r32.

Hoping you will write a little comparison once you test drive an R32 mate, they do sound the business. Youtube rupo's r32 and there are some nice clips of his modded one.

They are very good cars and so cheap to get decent power out of! But I just want a bit bigger car, bit more luxury, bit more of a "better spec" car! Only I know what I mean....

You can buy my car! :D

I love the noise of R32's - I dont care if it's not as fast as the Ibiza. I'm not looking to rant around everywhere and rarely get chance to use full throttle anyway! So as long as it's brisk - that'll do me! ;)

ash u gotta take me for a spin in your ibiza before you sell it! not been in it since the hybrid!

You're one of 1000's that's said that! Buy it off me and enjoy it - you know you want derv again ;)

240bhp and 380ft/lb. So very similar to your torque....

I know the Ibiza will be faster than a standard R32....but with a map and a zorst you see 280bhp and with the 4wd, I think it'll be hard to beat in the Ibiza. As it'd just been spinning while they leave me dead

Have you got a limited slip diff in your ibiza? If not i'm sure one of them would really improve traction.

LSD's only really make any difference when exiting/entering corners. Basically when one wheel gets light, it tries to sort it out. At the end of the day there's only so much power you can put through 2 wheels! lol

Very true, 4wd is the best option if price isnt an issue, but many new hot hatches such has focus rs megane r26 are front wheel deive with lsd and do a very good job of putting power down, although I agree with you r32 will put power down alot better, i've been in one in the wet and its pretty seemless traction. Also when you set of with a car with a lsd it helps not just when entering/exiting corners.
