Nothing you take it off to drill, just mind the clips, they lift then slide.

If the shaft is tight raise it up and wedge it up and gently tap the shaft :)

make sure you draw a line from the centre of the pivot to the centre of the existing pin and drill somewhere on this line - this will ensure that you don't have a notchy shift afterwards.. if you tap the hole with a thread you can just use a bolt, couple of washers and locking nut.
