it seems to be on a lot of cars lately as they seem to use it as the option to swap for left and right hand drive

Ive got a question, do the cornering lights actually turn left and right as well as the fog lights comings on when you corner? Ive only ever seen people mention the fogs coming on but nothing of the actual xenon lights moving? :)

No the main lights be them xenon or regular dont move.

I took out the right hand rear cluster, bulb wont go in, no hole in the light for it and different bulb holder so would need a LHD rear cluster for that side and it wiring in if it cant be coded up.

Clusters are different (slightly !!) between 3 and 5 door. So you would need both to be replaced.

More than slightly different. You would need to reshape the boot, rear bumper and rear quater panels to fit them. Would be a lot easier to get an auto electrician to fit a socket in the empty cluster and wire it up.

Thats the thing there isnt a socket to put it in, the lamp is a different moulding.

i thought the 2door had fog one side and reverse the other ?

they do, but on different parts of the cluster. the reverse light is the clear section towards the middle of the car and the fog light fits in the red section just below it.

And noI'm not that well informed. I'm in the showroom right now and just tried it out :D

Even if we are stuck with 1 lamp, on all other cars I have had (at that's been a few :D) its always been a 21w. So 10w really sucks after having 2x21w on my last car.
Parking between other car and wall with a 90deg turn in the dark is a real test of skill, especially with the recent rain !
