I'm not sure I'd want another of the same.
They'll never admit there is a common issue here as they're sh1t scared they'll ave to take some accountability.
There seem to be a fair few probs of late on VAG engines:
1) This 1.6 related issue
2) misfires, and coking valves on 2.0TFSi
3) DPF issues on some of the diesels
Do they do extended testing anymore, or are we paying the privilege to do it ourselves?! Given the rate everything changes I'm not surprised it's coming to this.
Best of luck getting it sorted, stay calm with them, and keep your aces up your sleeve in case it all goes belly up (calling influential car mags / trading standards / watchdog etc...)
