I have had a few errors when scanning vag-com through my ibiza cupra mk3. The maf signal being too low and engine running too lean. I have now ordered a new MAF from seat and that should arrive in stock today (hopefully).

I was reading through another thread and it suggested some logs to run. so below are some logs please take a look and let me know what you think; (these are before i have changed the MAF i will do the same logs again later once i have replaced the MAF, my understanding is limited of these logs all i can see is that the grams of air per second looks very low for a remapped 1.8t)

It was mapped by star performance, i have just replaced the maf i have done one measure of block 002 and the maf reading look a lot more respectable peaking at 152g/s, (il post the logs ups now)

i dont really understand timing pull, could that have anything to do with the maf?

152g/s is about right for a mapped k03 I think. What cf's did you get this time?

A dodgy MAF could of caused it to run lean causing the high cf's..

i haven't managed to do any other logs as i was trying to do them in 4th gear as you said in another thread but its a little busy at the moment for doing any other logs as 6000rpm in 4th gear is quite fast ;)

i will post some up later, on another note VAG-COM did come up with errors previous to changing the maf stating the system was running lean.

BTW did i run the right logs do you want the exact same 6?

thanks alot btw i appreciate it

Jonny

Yea, do the same logs again.

You can do them in 3rd too, its just 4th gear is closer to a 1:1 ratio.

whhhoa bigger cf than mine was.... they are pretty bad mate.

what fuel do you use?

logs you did are good mate. do them in 3rd if its easier. 2.5k to the redline.
boost looks good, actual vs requested.

maf very low for mapped ko3s.

152g/s on new maf is good. relog to see if it sorts timing pull.

thanks guys i am going to do the same logs later on when the bypass is clear of traffic then il get them posted up. Im really hoping that the timing was way out because of the maf (fingers crossed)

I only ever use V power or Tesco Super Unleaded thats what the original logs were on but im at uni and there is no tesco or shell near so i have had to change to BP ultimate 97 :( which is what the second logs will be on.

check back later

thanks again

Jonny

Just done the same logs after fitting the MAF, to me the timing still looks far too high but anyway please post any advice.

im running 97 ron bp ultimate as shell had ran out of V power :(

And im still on the little SMIC

I have been doing some research and solutions i have been looking at are lower temp spark plugs (BKRE7s) and use V power all the time instead of shitty BP ultimate and then re-log.

How does that sound?
