Right, I've had the MAF replaced about 2 months ago so I doubt this is the problem. The car is still doing it but I doubt any errors will come up at the dealers. It's going in for a faulty passenger window switch. But my point still is the car is a mess to drive with my A/C on. There is virtually no power and is very jerky during gear changes. Whether this is related or not, my car over the past 2 weeks has sometimes not slipped into 2nd and 4th like it used too. I doubt it's related but I thought I'd mention it. It just refuses to go into 2nd or 4th and have to release the clutch and try again which isn't good as 1st in the diesel leon isn't brilliant to be honest. Anyone else with this problem?

Danny.

Mine went in today for this and all they could find was an intercooler pipe which had come loose and so they sorted. They told me to bring it back in if it goes wrong again

Nope, it's been doing exactly the same again tonight. Going to book it in tomorrow. I can see this getting expensive :(

Ok, changed my air filter and fuel filter improved things, but still seemed to be holding back.
Decided to book it into the stealers and they now saying its the MAF sensor!!! Hopefully it may clear the fault.

Have to wait unto next week as part as on order!!!

alright everyone,

mine was doing the same as everyone's here. the pulling effect low down in gears but no warning light came on at first then it came on intermittant. SEAT changed the exhaust pressure sensor and it's as good as new. had a right fanny on till it was resolved tho.

seems to be DPF orientated. ive had my exhaust pressure sensor changed twice in the last 5 month due to DPF clogging up, exact same. once changed no worries with pulling power low down.

I've had my DPF manually re-genned not so long ago due to it sticking on and apparently they changed a sensor then although I'm not sure which one.

Right, for you guys that are experiencing this problem. Can anyone tell me if their car does the same as mine.
When setting off in first, the car gets to about 2k rpm and then holds back therefore making me put my foot down to get more out of it? It's not very often I go past 2k in 1st gear but I drove my mates MK1 leon 1.9 diesel and it doesn't do it. Just smooth like the rest of the gears. My car has always done this and just wondering if anyone elses does?

Thanks
Danny.

Well, mine still isn't fixed. I sent the dealer a video clip of the exhaust making the noise and whilst they said that it certainly didn't sound right, they couldn't find anything at all. The engineer took the car home overnight to see if it would do it but it didn't. They couldn't find any record of it going into limp mode apparently so it must have cleared itself.
So, £100 (+ vat) down and I'm in no better position - perhaps someone with theirs under warranty can have a go instead as it's costing a bit much really to get bugger all return!!

Mine is going in on Tuesday under warranty to have it looked at plus when the car kangoroos in slow traffic. I'll post back my results but I doubt anything will come back as usual. As I said my MAF was replaced about 2 months ago so I don't know what else it could be.

They replaced the fuel filter on mine just in case so I'll see how it goes - I really doubt it'll be that! Keep us updated!! :)

Mines was doing this as well at about 1500-1800 under approx 10-15% throttle - felt like a flat spot/ Misfire. Was in for a service last week and as i was parking it at the dealers the ECU light came on. Turned out to be an EGR Sensor. They fitted a new one as they had it in stock and ive not really noticed it since. Hopefully thats it sorted.

All i need to do now is get the squeek fixed on the bonnet......

I wish mine would hurry up and come one! They just take the stance that if "computer says no" then that's the end of it! :(

Right, got back from the dealers after being there for 2 hours. Car was checked over, firstly the oil was well below minimum mark so they filled it up and took it out for 2 test drives both with different drivers, first driver said there was jumping and a bit of hesitation, took it back in the garage and applied ECU update which according to the mechanic, mine was a while out of date, 2nd driver took it out and found no problem. They have also ordered me a new electronic throttle which will be done next tuesday. I drove the car home fairly aggressively and everything seems to be better, even spins a little in 3rd gear when giving it nuts which it never did before, if I still have the jerking issue they said to bring back in, but hesitation seems to have gone so far. :D

Mine has started to do the jerking but doesnt have the DPF as its only the sport? It only does it when the car is cold though and rarely once the car is up to operating temperature

Exactly what mine does Dave, I don't think it's the DPF, I thought it was the MAF sensor but that's been replaced already, if it does it again, it's going straight back to them, especially as winter is upon us :(

Mine does it when the engine is up to temp.

One thing I found is that when I revved it the other day at standstill with the bonnet up to see if I could hear anything different, it suddenly stopped doing it. Not sure if it's just coincidence...?
